Very different indeed. Our constitution actually protects our right to carry. And our right to carry protects our right to mary and express all kinds of things. If you are reading this as anti-same-sex marriage, you're doing it wrong.2 points

I made a whole lot of changes today. There are still a lot more to go, but I wanted to bring it back up so you all can use most of the site. If you find bugs, let me know. If you see something missing that you really want, feel free to let me know. I'll do whatever I can. I'll write up a full thing on what all is new tomorrow. Sponsors: I'll get your banners up as soon as I can. I have to convert them all over to this new software. It might take me a couple days, but I'll add time to your sponsorship to make up for it. ------------------- All bug reports and requests can now be submitted here: http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/tracker/project-1-bugs-and-requests/1 point

Wife has family in NC that we get along with great, and we loved it during our vacation there last year. We are seriously considering it in the hopefully near future.1 point

Part of that is plain ole' stupidity, but the other part is HD marketing. They convince people that if they spend enough they can turn their modern antique into a performance machine. And they can prove this with all the 'real' 100hp+ dyno charts on the wall by the service department. When I bought my Buell 1125R the sales guy referred to it a beginner bike, and someday I could step up to a big twin (I'm sure that was the sales pitch straight from HD corporate). I asked him how 130hp and less than 400lbs was for beginners and how 65hp and 750+ lbs was a 'step up.' His answer had something to do with big displacement. It's what they're supposed to say.1 point

Libertarian Jesus could not exist. His concern for mankind would routinely run afoul of Libertarian exaltation of pure capitalism.1 point

usually in intermediate stuff I always stick to passing on the straights or under braking. I'm obviously just cruising around helping people in intermediate, so I know that I can always just zip by on a straight or if it's someone on a literbike i'll blow by on the gas while they are braking. albeit giving plenty of space so I don't spook or "buzz" the person. But personally I try not to pass in the turns in that group unless there is a gaping hole that I can easily slide through without spooking the rider.1 point

Isn't this an infringement in and of itself? New legislation being considered by the Maryland House of Delegates would allow police to run checks of the state’s gun registry Isn't it illegal to even have a state gun database? New buyers have the background check which is destroyed after ten days, right?1 point

i can understand that being annoying. the whole "6 foot" rule is crazy unrealistic though. I always try to give people a wide birth when I pass, but I can't control what THEY do. If I go around the outside, and then they drift wider than I thought they would, the 6' I gave them quickly turns into 3' Really, I think the safest way to pass someone is "as quickly as possible." I don't throw inside passes on people unless I am in Advanced, and I'm confident they won't tighten up their line (i.e. I've observed them for a lap or two), but making a pass deliberately is one of the more important things. a half-assed pass is one that may not happen at all, and then you've put yourself and the other rider in a situation where you both have to adjust your plan at the last second.1 point

Ah the difference an ECU can make. My brother old TLS had the original 97 ECU. Recall not done. It would lift it in 1-3 no problem. Chop the throttle in 3rd, it would come straight up. There was a reason it was nicknamed "The Widowmaker."1 point

^other than the fact that the current consoles tried and have digital media most people still want the disk. I would still rather have a console vs a pc. With that, what is the xbox doing? Red ring?1 point

I got rid all my guns when they proved to not function properly. They never fired at someone in a few years of ownership so i sent them back to their respective manufacturers asking for a refund since they were defective1 point

Part of me is glad I lost all my guns in that unfortunate boating accident years ago, so I will not have to worry about the indignity of confiscation.1 point

I'm a fan of the 1 foot floater wheelie. It means your hooking up good with no slip. Plus a little bit of weight transfer is good. Oh wait we talking about 12 o'clockin, tractor pulling, or drag racing I'm confused1 point

This thread reminded me to cancel the insurance on the Katana that I sold to redkow, so if nothing else good comes out of this situation, at least I'm $55.00 richer.1 point

They aren't targeting criminals. They are targeting law abiding citizens that they turned into criminals with some bullshit laws.1 point

OK so what does one take from all this feedback? Basically, clean your chain at reasonable intervals and use a brand name lube of some kind and you should get acceptable chain life.1 point

The first step? wasn't "background checks" the first step? or was it "felony restrictions"? wait must have been "machine gun bans" what step was the "first step"? i mean isn't the big bitch always "this puts an unnecessary burden on LAW ABIDING CITIZENS" now when they start individually targeting CRIMINALS, that's another affront to your gun rights, too? jesus christ, is anything not infringing on your gun rights?-1 points

Yes, because spending your life with someone you care about is exactly the same as carrying deadly weapons..-1 points
