I have insurance, so I will never shoot anyone over a motorcycle. I have a CCW, so I usually have it on my person when buying things on Craigslist. Dumb people do dumb things, and people tend to get what they deserve.2 points

...but it sure is fun! Plus, it has two wheel drive on demand.1 point

Free Left over from the car I just traded in. They are Mich Ice X's. Amazing in the snow. Made my car that was dangerous as hell in the snow feel like AWD. Very soft rubber so if you run them in the summer the will wear right the hell out. On near Thanksgiving and off near Easter. Size in the pic, I would say over half the tread is left. I want them out of my garage in 2 weeks. After that I give them to Conrad's.1 point

Saturday was a great day on the bikes. I took off in the morning on the meanstreak and ended up at IP in Columbus . Made my way to millersburg and covered 83 south to mcconnelsville and 2 laned it home. Saturday was my birthday so we had some cake and I got gifts. The wife had payed attention to me drooling over helmets at the shop. She had picked up a Simpson carbon ghost lid!! Nice helmet and extremely light so I had to try it out. I jumped on the zrx and enjoy abou another 100 miles of southeast Ohio asphalt. The helmet felt great. Though I enjoyed time on both bikes they are definitely two different animals. The mean streak is fast fun and stable but the zrx paints a big smile on my face as soon as I make it out of city limits and keeps it there.1 point

Okay did some map work tonight and got the gas stops on the Ozark day figured out. Broke the day into 4 segments, each segment is 150 miles or less if any ones bike cant do that please let me know. The end of the 3rd segment will put us at the hotel for that night. If it's check in time we can check in and maybe grab a bite too eat. Then who ever wants to hit the 4th segment can do so, or if you have enough fun for the day you can relax early. I also added some way points on Saturdays route on the first post. Here are the links to Sunday's segments. Segment 1: https://goo.gl/maps/n5Uu8TU11rN2 Segment 2: https://goo.gl/maps/rZka1DePZvx Segment 3: https://goo.gl/maps/nzCdupp65gt Segment 4(if your kitty don't hurt): https://goo.gl/maps/sT7tqorQUpQ2 These should work as long as the gas station in Jasper is Open on Sunday's, if not I'll have to do more figuring. Ill call and check on this station when the time gets closer.1 point

I got a full kit from Motorcycle Superstore years ago. Got a set of like 60 in a bunch of different sizes. I unfortunately gave them all to a buddy with a speed triple after I crashed my Sprint. Can't really ask for them back at this point. Sorry. You need the 9.48mm diameter shims. Hot Cams still makes the quick index case. http://www.bikebandit.com/aftermarket-parts/motorcycle-engine-and-exhaust/valve-shim-kits-refills-universal/hot-cams-valve-shim-kit?m=1473131 point

125,000 miles on the old girl, so I'm working my way from back to front servicing every component required. Final drive now has new oil seals because it was seeping a bit on the high speed-for long periods riding out west. All rear suspension points have been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and lubed. The bearings, bolts and spacers are all still in excellent condition because I've done this every year of the bike's life. Same for the shift and brake pedals. I'm also taking care of corrosion I'm finding along the way, including the center stand. The salt is brutal on that poor thing. New piston and seals in the rear brake caliper. I'm up to the engine, as can be seen in the picture. Last winter I removed the starter and checked the front oil seal and flushed the carbon dust out of it, which bought me another 25k miles, but it's getting weak again, so it's time to go. New starter will go in today, then I can put the throttle bodies and air box back on, after I check the valve clearances and install new plugs. New throttle cables will last me the rest of this bike's life. Then all that's left is clutch and brake fluid change, steering bearings, fork oil change, fresh coolant and putting Humpty Dumpty back together.1 point

I had done the racetech valves and springs in mine. Changed the rear shock for an Ohlins. If you go on the racetech website you can do their spring finder and input your info to get their recommendations for spring weight and it worked out perfect for me. Changing them is not hard but a few specific tools are needed. That oil service syringe makes it a ton easier.1 point

Response from a Representative: Received your email and would like to meet with you to discuss this matter in greater detail. I realize that you are in class Mon-Fri and I am down here Mon evening through Thursday. Would it be possible to catch breakfast sometime on a Saturday morning? Probably the best I can do at this point given our schedules. I probably should add I personally know this Representative. He was my high school history teacher and basically ran his campaign from local friends and family support. Anything specific you feel I should bring up? Obviously the idea that the ear plugs are a safety concern. Other thoughts?1 point
