  2. I have no idea what's happening in this thread anymore but my pressure gauge got here just now and it even came with 4 valve stem caps for free. Pretty solid $15 buy.

  9. So good news, kinda... I have milder tearing this time and a shit ton of tendonitis. Not great, but no surgery is required. I need rest and then rehab. Beats the hell out of a metal plate and a big ass screw in my forearm.

  15. I figured I would help compile a database of popular motorcycle roads with maps and what not to make things simple for people. So please feel free to add in your choices and if you would include a map and a description of whether its technical or scenic or basically what you can expect from the road. 1. 21. This is a shame... I will buy a shirt to support you and your efforts. I don't understand the fuss, last year we had hidden boobs (not your fault but very funny), this year is balls. It was only fair to do balls this time....I like the design and the catch phrase. I think you do a great job and I appreciate your hard work. So, thank you for doing all of this. For those who don't like the shirt, you don't have to buy one to join the ride.

  22. I have 4 cars, 2 motorcycles, 2 bicycles, a trailer, and an ATV at the house. I'd say I'm not overdoing it with 6 gauges (I try to keep one on each vehicle).

  24. Let me know when they come off lease. I might be interested in paying the buy out on them, especially if they are Motion Pro units. Good deals can be had that way.

  25. Don't be silly, that is simply for storage not usage. You must remove from vacuum before each use.

  27. Some added relative info....In general, Digital gauges are known to be...(and remain over time) ...more accurate than analog units. I however still like the analog gage because there's nothing worse than going to take a quick measurement, and finding your battery is dead.

  28. Oh how did motorcyclists ever survive without temperature-compensated TPMS systems?!

  29. None of these gages are temperature-compensated like the TPMS system on my BMW GSA

  34. Regulators fail all the time. My machine at work is pressure sensitive and we replace probably 2 to 3 regulators a month out of a few dozen. Mostly due to moisture in the lines because our air dryer sucks.

  35. I don't want to mess with a pressure regulator everytime I want to put air in my tires.

  40. Oil that streams out like water, with lots of dripping, instead of a viscous stream that sticks together, is a no-no signal to me. It means the viscosity is gone-gone. Chewed up by the gear train. I look for something that will hold up better. Turning dark means it's holding the contaminants like it should. Dark is a signal to change oil. If there's a lot of it and/or too soon, I'd wonder about the oil filter. Either dirty and bypassing, or goofing up and bypassing. Definitely, some filters work better than others. Unconfirmed, is that the extra filtration in some premium filters, causes unwanted back pressure, resulting in an unwanted bypass of the filter. Something like it might even happen with the wrong weight of oil. Dark oil can also be combustion bypassing the rings into the oil. Always check oil to see if it smells like gasoline. It should not. Gasoline will also drop the viscosity rather quickly. Goofed up fuel shutoffs are also a source of that on carb bikes.

  42. I doubt it. The GMs have a self learning mode on the car that works really well. Ones for my GMs are around $20 to $25 on Amazon which was about $10 to $15 cheaper than the parts stores
    1 point
  43. NOWAY could I do that. It would drive me insane.
    1 point
  44. They all do that, ive replaced all on the wifes work car, 3 on my truck and one on my bike. The GM ones are cheap though and you can program them yourself.

  45. The one I have is a different syle but similar price but the one I have you clamp on the stem and fill the tire with the gage. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CJHU9W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
