Awesome tale. Bubba is damn good people. Maybe we should kick up an annual NKY route ride and call the "Czechtucky special" in memoriam?4 points

The chat box had a few questions as I was posting, so I'll start a thread in here. My first child was born 12.57am on the 27th. After a very long and painful labor. He got stuck on the way out, issues with the cord and they swept my wife away to the OR after 4 unsuccessful pushes. Baby heart rate drop, scary low. Guys, it's amazing what they can do here. In just 9 of the most terrifing mins , they had my wife over to the OR, strapped down to a different bed and drugged up and the baby was out and they were "working" on him. Cut-to-birth was under minute, as the Dr puts it. I was able to hold him for a few seconds right after he was out, but quickly ran him down to NICU, to stabliz him. Cofer is now doing well, but is still in NICU. He should be released in less than a week. He bounced back quickly with fluids.3 points

Hey guys...I had so good time...all thanks to you and Bubba and his will to share. Here are some pictures from my retreat. Sorry for capturing what you are used to but it is all new to me and always wanted to eat burger in completely regular american road place, sleep in road motel and "wander around" on bike..meet country and people...basically all what I was seeing as a child from Russian and communists controlled Czechoslovakia on not very tolerated American movies. Almost all was touched on my short trip thanks to you and Bubba...and I am just laughing out on his funny posts unable to write similar way as I feel so grateful....thank you old man and sorry for that lost rain cover...and the last picture I took and you said you would kill me if I post it...so I posted it as you are all perfect and don't have to worry https://goo.gl/photos/LoePP2DDBUmW6eVR93 points

Pic links don't work for me so I don't know what you're trying to show. The whine whistle or whatever you want to call it is not negative pressure. It is positive pressure and is being caused by the gas vaporizing creating pressure. A valve holds that pressure at a certain level. When it exceeds that limit it vents causing whistle whistle whine whine smell smell. What you hear when you open the cap is pressure release not vacuum. If it was vacuum you would have to somewhat force the cap open. Why does this happen when you park? Thanks for asking. Think about it. As you are riding the all the heat from the engine is getting blown straight back and also is going around the tank cooling it as well. When you stop the heat from that hot lump of metal goes straight up trying to percolate the gas in the tank creating excessive pressure that is released. Hence the smell. All the above is null in void if you have an actual fuel leak. Two things that can help a little. One park it outside while you stow your gear a and let it cool down. Two is to fill your tank at the closest gas station before you go home. Till next time. Class over. I gotta go to work.2 points

Mine does that too, I just always say she's squealing from hitting her G spot on the last set of twisties. I'll just turn and say "your welcome"1 point

Thanks man. Thanks for the offer. I’ll give you a call in the morning with a credit card number. I doubt that I’ll become a sponsored rider soon as I’m just a guy that’s barkin’ at 60 trying to stay off the streets & out of trouble. From: Waylon [mailto:waylon@woodcraft-cfm.com] Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2017 9:16 AM To: Schaffnit Subject: Re: Tire warmer quote Hey Jim - Thanks for the email and coming to Woodcraft for your next set of warmers. Our standard dual temp Gen III warmers will fit the tires you've specified with no issue. Normally we do not extend discounts unless you are set up as a sponsored rider with us but because a rider of ours sent you over we would be happy to give you a break on a brand new set of our warmers. This is the kind of relationship we really like to have with our riders. It means a lot to us that Craig is promoting Woodcraft as he is. With that said I can sell you a set of warmers for $xxx + shipping (normally $419.99). If this is something you would like to take advantage of feel free to let me know. Please let Craig know that we thank him for sending folks out way. Let me know if you have any questions.1 point

It's a lot easier to hit your target if you are comfortable with your weapon. Either up close or at range1 point
-
Only 3 things matter for a CCW pistol: 1 Can it be reasonably concealed 2 Can you hit a target at self defense distances (if not, you're the problem, not the weapon) 3 Does it go bang every time If you have reason to draw a weapon in self defense, you aren't going to give a damn about ergonomics, if the trigger is butter smooth, or if it can hit a shotgun shell at 50 feet. You're also going to be dealing with adrenaline. This isn't a marksmanship situation. You aren't slowly squeezing off a round while maintaining breath control. You are quickly pulling the trigger. If you are in a struggle you aren't going to be using the sites & you might need to fire left handed. Practice that next time you are at the range.1 point

Small part of video from last time we got together for a ride. Sorry for poor quality, i had to recover this file after being corrupted and severely affected the quality.1 point

Jerry that profile pic is not the real bubba. Just saying, didn't want you to keep lot of expectations and dreams about getting towed around.1 point

Nice looking bike! The breakout is probably my favorite in the Harley line up. That duc is gonna feel like a dirt bike on steroids when you take it around the block. That's how my 1100 feels after riding my mean streak for a while. May as well keep them both there's nothing like options when you open the garage door!1 point

Props to you Bubba for making this happen for Jan. I'm sure he will be always grateful. Jan glad you was able to get to ride a bit. I am first generation Czeck American as were. Thought of someday going to visit. Maybe still. Bubba I would like to come down sometime and let you tow me around Kentucky.1 point

Going to toss out another idea. Smith also makes the 38 Bodyguard. Basically a J frame 5 shot revolver. That is my carry gun now. Shoots really well, I can center mass them all day long at 25. Super easy and safe to carry and always goes boom.1 point

Shield is about the smallest I'll carry. The 380s just flat out suck to shoot. I go between the Shield and m&p compact.1 point

Jan: ...and now, I will have to come to Czeck and hunt you down! So glad we met and you were able to ride around the countryside. Something about motorcycles that make it easy to meet new friends and have a great time. Safe trip home, my friend!!! Great pictures...they capture the spirit of your adventure!1 point

I just took it on a shakedown ride through a few local twisties. It corners better than I expected. Steering is pretty quick. I'd guess it has enough capability to hang with a med/fast group. I'll have to bring it on a group ride. According to a video I saw the speedo will touch 110, but it takes a while to get there.1 point

Never even knew there was such a bike. Have some fun on it before you sell it.1 point
