  1. Skidmark. I mostly paid so Isaac could get a tatse. I am hoping he catches the bug. We tore into the Duc today and had a good time. He likes it up there and even started scouring CL for bikes he can afford.

  2. Hoses installed. Fuel tank removed and heading to the radiator shop to be sealed. New rotors have no threaded hopes for the tone ring. Might have to modify the new rotors by hand. (Yes.. I am that good.)

  3. I enjoy negotiating. I actually got another $4k AFTER I accepted the offer, because they only partially explained something to me. I told them I would have negotiated harder if I had all the info, it actually wasn't that big a deal. They asked if some more money would make up for it

  4. Damn good thing you edited my name and spelled it right. Was afraid I was going to have to ban you.

  8. "Southern Christian Woman Loses Her Mind" is not a deal breaker for me. I bet there is more to her story than we got to see. Either way, still convenient and decently priced. I like the seclusion and access to Bojangles and the pizza joint girl. I think her name was "Slaussez"

  10. My wife works full time at a hospital for Ohio Health and it's sad that my manufacturing job offers a better health plan than they offer her. Not saying theirs is terrible but enough for us to keep us on mine and not hers. Just think that's kind of sad. Health care is their thing and they can't offer premium coverage to their own employees.

  11. If we ever get universal health care, there will be a mass exodus from crappy retail and factory jobs. Too many folks are bound to jobs they dislike (but offer health care coverage) because they can't afford ACA policies. I'm nearing the end of my job as a high school teacher, and feel for all those stuck paying several thousand dollars per month to cover spouses and kids. Medicare will only cost me about $200/month!

  12. On my change this spring I screwed up during negotiations. They offered, I countered at +13k. While they pondered that I did some more math and said to myself shit...that 13k isn't enough to cover my old health care bennies and the retirement kickback. They came back at +10k over their original offer so 3k below my counter. I declined, and said my original counter of +13k was also now void and I needed +18k. Took them three days to get over that bombshell but they said yes.

  13. I took it back apart. Full exhaust, PCV, Ignition module, block off plates, filter, rearsets. Case covers on tonight and button it up for the trip up to the tuner.

  14. Agree, 100%. I did the whole "motorcycle lifestyle career" and it didn't work out. I found you actually miss out on most good days of riding. Plus, most Ducati owners are insufferable cunts to deal with.

  15. Bikes needs to be a hobby not a profession for me. Going to a job with substantial pay increase, 4 days a week instead of 6, full benefits vs none, etc.

  16. I avoid the gap as much as possible. It isn't very enjoyable for resting or riding. I prefer to be away from the constant "brapping" and Harley dick measuring late at night. I liked Townsend, so I will probably stay there again. I also liked the cabins at Dragons Rest, in Robbinsville. Quiet and closer to better food than the gap store. The resort is cool, but the large crowd really doesn't appeal to me. I do think it is a good option for the OR.net Invasion, though. Lots in the "positive" column, for sure.
