  1. Rode it all over SEO. Top number 561.9 is miles from today and the old girl now has over 50K.

  2. 310 miles of great riding today. Thank you Rick and James for allowing me to tag along. Also the music of the CBR and the MT exhaust was great. Sorry I had to split at Woodsfield and blast home on 78. I missed having my asphalt physical trainer Derek Clouser on the HW 78 Section between Woodsfield and Caldwell. I did my best keeping my speed above a ton and doing arm presses in your memory. That was my first spirited group asphalt ride of 2019.

  3. I sure have been. Last I bought a bike that I thought would allow me to ride more since I don't have to clutch it as often as the sportbike. I rode a lot last year but have only rode twice this year. Took a decent trip to Maine but one of the days was in a torrential downpour all day. Have I mentioned that my "mother-in-law" is moving in with us today? She has two dogs that we have had for the last month while she has been in rehab. Will only be released to live with family or assisted living. We are doing so much work around the house to accommodate this new living arrangement that I don't know when I'm going to get out on the bike again this year. When I do get out I intend to do some hard riding, whatever that means with my comfy old man bike.

  5. Was only going to replace the rear tire, when suddenly I got an attack of the "while I'm at it disease"... (dammit, I did it again!)

  6. I got to Baltic and turned around due to a very high level of frustration. I was not having a good ride. I was making time, but something just didn't feel right. I wasn't settled inside like riding usually makes me. I was busy thinking of other things and made a couple dumb errors. Minor, but potentially significant brain farts. That all coupled with my bike doing its tourette's dance, I just wasn't enjoying myself, so I decided to go motorcycle shopping instead. Luckily the dealership decided to offer the most egregious sales experience of my life and I did not ride away on something new. So, I am pleased to hear the ride went well. Sorry I missed the day, but I wasn't firing on all four today. I made a judgment call and am satisfied it was the right decision. Catch you guys next time.

  7. Like others have pointed out, looks like you locked the rear up momentarily downshifting which upset the bike and caused you to go off track. You pulled the clutch in and let the revs drop down to like 4-5k then let it out too fast. Try not to let the bike free roll like that, get your downshift done quickly blipping the throttle to reduce shock to the chassis.

  9. To be fair, 2 were on a track that was maybe 40 degrees and the third was on a green track (rained like mad the few days before we rode).

  10. Yeah you'd have to be a silly goose to go ham first session on fresh tires.

  11. That's 2 more laps than the 3 individuals I'm thinking about had that all got caught out 1st session of a day on Q tires. They are great tires, just cant send them first lap first session like your on slicks/warmers lol!

  12. Mine were fine after like 2 laps of scrub. Every session after that I was digging my knee in after turn 7 on the first lap (not running warmers). They heat up FAST.

  13. Wife and I have camped often at Salt Fork and Mohican state parks. Nice, secluded sites, plenty to do nearby. There's great kayaking on the Mohican River in Loudonville, and lots of great places to eat nearby. The roads are in pristine conditions if you choose to ride to either one of these parks.

  19. Behold, the pain train behind someone who parks it in every corner but swoops across the entire track on every entry and exit -- and is a rocket ship on every straight. The final boss for any rider over 230lbs.
