  4. And now the other shoe drops. They were working on this website right up until the day it was released, doing major changes. Which means there is no way it could have been subjected to the federally required audit for security. Yes, that's my kid that will be testifying. http://thehill.com/blogs/hillicon-valley/technology/190043-hacker-to-testify-on-obamacare

  5. Please try and keep up, I am equating background checks to voter id. Background checks do no more good stopping gun crime than Voter ID laws do at stopping voter fraud. However, both are simple, no harm ideas that hurt nothing.

  7. So my son has been scheduled to testify before Congress on November 17th about the website. And they are looking for a way for Congress to hire him to do a security audit on the website. He is so getting audited by the IRS.

  11. Yeah, because I said you should pay the bills out of your pocket.....you kidding me? Get your shit fixed 100%, get your medical bills payed....but asking on a public forum where you can get quotes for parts to maximize your claim in an attempt to put money in your pocket is fucking ridiculous. Sorry, that isn't why insurance exists and that is what you are using it for.

  17. I agree... I try to stay as neutral as possible on the abortion issue because by the nature of... well... nature, I've got very little say in it anyway. Women need to make choices about their health and their own bodies. If they don't want to gestate, I don't think it's the government's job to force them to. At the same time I'm morally opposed to women using abortions as a means of ongoing birth control, this doesn't mean I'd support any further restrictions to the procedure. On a side note, regardless of how much i abhor religious organizations, I think the counseling centers like heartbeat international are a great resource for giving young women help if they feel pressured into an abortion decision...

  19. "Sure you can trust the government.... just ask an Indian". I am sure that they have our best interests in mind while they hold secretive negotiations. Just like Obamacare. This kind of reminds me of the documentary "Death By China"

  23. Lets at least give him a Fox News link: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/07/19/cincinnati-poll-worker-sentenced-to-5-years-for-voter-fraud-in-presidential/ And then there's an MSNBC link, posted here because nobody watches that channel: http://news.msn.com/us/30-cincinnati-cops-committed-voter-fraud-wont-be-charged Now that we've got a "trusted" pollworker and a gaggle of cops, lets throw a nun into the mix: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20130416/NEWS0107/304160065 BTW, I'm still convinced that the election was stolen by many people such as this. I also believe that it will continue to happen on a large scale. Allowing people to vote without presenting an ID card is assinine. Period. I have to show an id to buy a beer (though the gray hair on my head is usually all they need) and don't think that showing a valid ID in order to vote, nor that having your name checked-off on a list is unreasonable. Why should ANYONE be allowed to vote more than once? Anyone on public assistance already has some form of ID, so it shouldn't be an issue. Its clear and obvious what the liberals' intent is with this, and its reprehensible. But then, if they played by the rules, they'd lose. And they know it. So they start cheating early.

  29. It is cold and rainy, snow is about to fall. I got home from work on time, no overtime today. I had a few beers and thought it would be good idea to re-read some of my old posts. I joined in 2009, read the thread on working in Marysville, read about selling my Katana, and my first interest in firearms. Then I re-read the thread "my dad has cancer". Cried alittle. Well, that is not true, cried alot. Then smiled. Miss you Dad. Life makes us stronger. Good night for now.

  34. I've been quite a few times both for either parts or service since it's pretty close to my parents house in Beavercreek, and I've never been impressed with anything but the size of the place. It seems like every time I went I was treated like I was in the staff's way, and I had a hard time getting someone's attention (place wasn't busy, staff standing around) when trying to buy parts/gear. My only service experience was a tire change which took a very long time and was done incorrectly (tires mounted backwards). There are too many other dealers that are better to make me want to go back.

  35. A little common sense can go a long way. Common sense is one thing totally missing from the mess called the AHA. "The Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare "defies the whole concept" of its intended purpose to make health insurance more affordable for more people, billionaire entrepreneur Ken Langone told CNBC on Wednesday."Insurance is a fairly simple," Langone said in a "Squawk Box" interview. "It's spreading risk. It's sharing risk." "You're not going to bring 35 million more people into the pool for care and say, 'We're going to do it cheaper,'" he argued. "We're living longer. The longer we live, the more health care we need."........ http://www.cnbc.com/id/101154966?__source=yahoo%7Cfinance%7Cheadline%7Cheadline%7Cstory&par=yahoo&doc=101154966%7CObamacare%20can%27t%20make%20heal

  38. How did Obamacare site go so wrong? 5 questions Sebelius must answer http://www.nbcnews.com/health/how-did-obamacare-site-go-so-wrong-5-questions-sebelius-8C11492642?ocid=msnhp&pos=1 My wife is a systems analyst who tests software for a large insurance company prior to the software being implemented to agents and or the ie. She has laughed at the debacle of it all. She has been involved in several projects where the target date of implementation was over 5 yrs out, and non of those projects were the size or complexity of the Obamacare project. We came up with this timeline, starting what, 4 yrs ago? First off, after its signing in as a law it had to be fully understood. Fully. Consider how long it would take someone to fully read and comprehend the bill in its entirety. Then, someone needed to script out how and what was needed pertaining to it being used by potentially everyone nationwide at any time of the day or night, integrating not only each state but also many govt departments with every healthcare scenario, every risk factor...yadda yadda. This could take quite a while. Then it has to go to programmers and developers. Code has to be written, testing has to be done. Every feature, every govt department, every state and their pertinent dept's, etc etc, must be able to 'talk' to each other, must be able to 'read' and correlate all entered info. Just looking at it through her eyes it could easily take many years to get it all done ending with a website up and running correctly. There are a vast number of variables that have to be worked out. Saying it could be done operationally within 4 years is saying a lot. Evidently, it was saying too much because its a broken $400M + website so far. As to this chick taking all the heat over its failure, I am not so sure the buck should land in her lap rightfully. But it is what it is and she is going to take the rap, stupid or not.

  40. wait wait wait.... So you're equating voter fraud to gun deaths? *rubs hands together* there are 32,000 gun deaths per year in the USA, as opposed to 86 cases of voter fraud... there are almost as many gun deaths per year in washington DC alone, as there are in person voter fraud cases in the whole country... And at the end of a voter fraud case, you have an extra single vote (that accounts for statistically nothing, doesn't change a single race) Where as at the end of a gun death you have a dead son, a dead daughter, a dead father, a dead mother, a dead sister...etc... Now you tell me which is a bigger problem. A vote that essentially counts for shit, or a dead family member...
