  1. I stopped donating after they caused (temporary) nerve damage in my arm. The incompetence of their blood draw techs is beyond my level of tolerance.
  2. I want to vote but am pretty unwilling to let Gander Mtn in my facebook bizness. :-/ maybe I'll make a second account and vote. lol
  3. +1 That bike is freakin adorable.
  4. That's amazing. Good for him. I can't even imagine the butt pain from that ride.
  5. mmmmm, nutella and dinkel stangen.
  6. I bought the jr. dome tent from walmart for warm weather camping. It was $20 and its very small and can handle light rain. I'm 5'7" and I almost have to sleep diagonal to stretch out, but its light, cheap, and fits nice in my bags. I think there's one that's a little bigger for $25 or 30. I would assume that you're not going to be riding your bike around camping in the winter, so really I don't think you're going to need to consider the temperature rating of the bag that much (I mean, you can always put on extra clothes). I think you'll end up wrapping your money up more in finding one that packs down nice and small.
  7. I really think the worst part is how proud of himself that he is.
  8. Anyone else feel like this is a big rights violation? I don't know much about nontraditional body art, but as a general rule, if i want to do something with my body and its not hurting anyone else, the goverment can suck it. Even if this did become a law, I highly doubt they are going to prevent anyone from doing this. http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/arkansas_senate_passes_bill_to_ban_certain_tattoo_procedures_nontraditional http://www.fox16.com/mostpopular/story/Senate-Passes-Bill-to-Ban-Certain-Tattoos-Body/4i2Hk2OjXkK5ScwF-h-0Vw.cspx

np, if you do decide to hit up death valley, let me know and I'll give you a list of all the things that I learned from my visit I think its a shame so few people visit there - it is absolutely amazing. SF is a safer choice if you're traveling alone though.
  11. I'm not looking forward to getting hit with simunitions again. I'm just going to have to be really good.

I have been to SF a few times. If you're looking for sights to see in SF: 1. Coit Tower - great view of the city 2. Peir 39 - lots of sea lions and a pretty nice aquarium 3. Lumbard Street - just a 5 minute drive down a very curvy road in the middle of the city 4. Cliff House Restaurant - delicious and its right on the beach and overlooks a cliff. 5. Buena Vista Cafe - only suggest this place if you want to get an amazing and somewhat expensive irish coffee. 6. Alcatraz - book in advance, they sell out quick. This was a little less adventursome than I cared for, but it has interesting history and i'm glad i saw it 7. Golden Gate Bridge - you can take a water tour that's less than an hour and REALLY see it. 8. Redwoods - really about an hour drive north of SF, Muir Woods is nice 9. Hiking - north of SF and near the redwoods areas, there are a few mountains that you can hike on. You can also just drive to the top and it gives a really nice view of SF (peir 39) (pic from coit tower looking at lumbard street) If you're going to be in Santa Cruz, its a nice drive up highway 1 - really beautiful and there's some really nice hiking/views along there if you're into that. Monterey/Carmel is nice too, but its kind of a relaxing vacation spot rather than something you would be disappointed to never have the chance to see. I TOTALLY agree with going to Yosemite. I've been there in April after a blizzard rolled through and we hiked as far as we were allowed to in about 2-4ft of snow. Saw half dome but it was closed for the weather. It is amazing! If you like hiking, there's some great views around Lake Tahoe. I wanna say this was Angel lake or something like that off of highway 50? One of my trips I drove to death valley, and if that interests you at all, I'll tell you all the awesome places you can visit. Its actually one of my favorite places. (racetrack playa - rocks that "move on their own")
  13. We watch these sometimes. I really like these vids.
  14. I don't even have children and that put a knot in my stomach. I hope she (and you) feels better really soon.
  15. This is really unfortunate. The "rules" are in place for a reason and not following them sometimes leads to this kind of an accident. I heard the instructor of that class was checking up on the guy he shot and felt really bad and is a really good person and a great instructor and all of that, but this type of incident reflects poorly on the gun supporting community, especially if he is passing his bad habits off to his students.
  16. Awww, other mj, sorry to hear about this. Its good you don't need surgery. Hope you get good news on tuesday.
  17. I'm sore too! lol. Something about riding 15 mph made my whole left side hurt like crazy. I still don't have all of the feeling back in my pinky finger either. It was a lot of fun though - glad to help out The second day, I kept feeling like a mama duck because I would be riding past people at ~25 mph, and they would get behind me and draft off of me.
  18. Congrats on the new house. I'm glad you found something that works for you. I think it'll be really great to have a personal range on your property. Sounds awesome!
  19. I did it in the dark, but didn't realize I was on the dragon at the time.... I guess I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't think I was going to get eaten by the coyotes. Have fun
  20. I requested a "buy a mod a beer" too and he didn't do it
