Thumbs up on that one, and good luck with the manual teaching. My dad got so pissed off at me that he walked out of the car and left me to learn on my own (fortunately, we lived next to a church and the parking lot was adjoining our driveway, so I had a safe place to do it).

I love those things... one of these days, I will own one.

I was eastbound In fact, the accident on your side screwed up all the traffic on our side, because apparently no one in Ohio has ever seen an accident. People were rubbernecking like nervous fighter pilots.
-
Ah, that was you? I passed that accident on Wednesday afternoon, they let us out early because there were so many reports of pileups. Hope you're OK. AWD and good gas mileage are kinda mutually exclusive, but for AWD I'd go Subaru Legacy. They still get made with manual transmissions (if that's important for you) and look a little classier than your average Impreza.

Finally something from arlan Ness worth riding

Jeez... I'd be worried about my jeans getting caught in the chain, the way it's uncovered behind the footpeg like that. -
Hey, if we're going small displacement, let's get some purpose-built I4 turbos going again.

Mount Union alum here... welcome!

I'm good for whenever so long as I have notice.
-
Welcome, man! Stay safe.

Yeah, I read that he's been suspended pending an investigation. Whole thing started over him being compared to the Gestapo on Facebook, hahaha. Power-tripping is the worst vacation ever.

Nice. Well if it's any help to you, T-Mobile seems good thus far and the price point is crazy-low -- $70/mo plus fees and phone amortization for unlimited everything, no monthly contract save for owing the balance on the phone if you cancel early. Smartphone-wise, I went Samsung Blackjack -> Iphone 3G -> Evo 4G -> Evo 3D -> Note 2 -> Note 2. Won't ever buy an HTC phone again. They were both abject garbage.

Haha, didn't recognize you with the different AV, bro. I've been with 3 of the major carriers thus far... AT&T was fast, but expensive, and had customer service departments run by Lucifer the Most Unclean. Sprint was nice, and feature-packed but their coverage sucks in my area, and the 3G was honestly lawsuit-worthy slow. 100 kB/s... please. That's ridiculous. T-Mobile is my new thing and so far I'm liking the combination of price and honesty in disclosure ("you're paying X/mo for your charges, and Y/mo for your phone purchase"). It's actually quick to the point where I'm considering cancelling Time Warner for a home-based hotspot instead.

LMAO If that's on mobile I'll shit bricks.

Got out for about an hour yesterday... it was beautiful. First time I'd ever really aired out that fizzer engine, too... wow. I know it's not the fastest bike out there, but it's the fastest one I've ever been on!

Are you quoting megabytes (MB) or megabits (Mb)? I was on bytes. Most speedtest.net defaults to bits. In megabits/sec I'm at 32 and 9.

Depending on the carrier, you can still get Note 2s online. I'm using one that's basically brand new from T-Mobile (and the internet is great out here; 4MB/s sustained download, a little more than a MB/s up.

Sup, Lyndhurst here. I'll be hitting a few bike nights in the area along with my little brother. Good to have you on board.

Switched carriers -- technically I'm still using my first one, I'm in the switchover period now. I actually did drop it once, but the glass cracked in such a way that the entire viewing area of the screen was unaffected. Big, beefy, powerful phone, great memory/storage options, etc. Also, the charger is the single most powerful phone charger I've ever seen. Will top you off, 100% within 2-2.5 hours. I have a ZeroLemon extended battery on mine from Amazon. cost me $30.00 but the phone will go 2+ days on a charge with moderate-heavy usage, assuming your cell signal is good.

I'm on my second note 2 so far. It's really not as big as you'd think, specifically because it's so thin. Love it to death.

I disagree... I've got a PS3 and most of my content is digital, through Playstation Plus. I get 2-3 free major titles a month, and it's tied to the subscription service. So playstation gets the cost of a new game from me every year, and I play games that I ordinarily wouldn't buy. So far, I've snagged Bioshock Infinite, Hitman Absolution, Hotline Miami, Ico, some Megaman titles, etc. It's pretty nice! Consoles, compared to PCs, are cheaper for the parts you get, more reliable because there's less to go wrong from a software standpoint, and there's a market aspect with regard to secondhand software that won't be going away any time soon... can't do that on PC. **I should point out that I have a gaming PC as well and do game on it. MechWarrior Online and most of Blizzard's catalogue, plus most of the classic COD series up until MW2.

This thread reminded me to cancel the insurance on the Katana that I sold to redkow, so if nothing else good comes out of this situation, at least I'm $55.00 richer.

The issue is when they start expanding the lists of "illegal owners." On medication for bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, ADHD? So were all the school shooters. Obviously mentally unstable, confiscated. Member of any political movements or organizations that are classified as potential threats to the security of the nation? Obvious threat to national security, confiscated. Ad nauseum. Lots of these new laws aren't dependent on the courts for authorization, and you can start to see a track record of extra-judicial laws and enforcement being ramrodded through the legislature in the interest of "safety." and then everyone else goes, well at least I'm not a CRAZY, or a MILITIA NUT, etc. Until it's too late.

Yeah I'd say Triumph Speed Twin for sure. Peashooter exhaust is a dead giveaway. It's postwar, because no pre-war bikes came in that color scheme, and the early models were also a solid front suspension. Wikipedia tells me that your dad's is probably a 47-49, because the headlight changed to a weird-looking "nacelle" in 49, and your dad's is a standard headlight instead.
