When I bought this one, it was between the FZ1 and a 2008 S83 Boulevard with about 500 miles on it. Some guy bought it and like, immediately died. Ended up on cycletrader at a dealership in Michigan. It was exactly the way I would have kitted it out, had I gotten the customization bug -- drag bars, black paint, sissy delete. Ended up going with the Fizzer because I can tour on this one just about as easily as I could on a cruiser. My lower back doesn't like to sit upright all day for some reason, I always end up trying to lean forward into the wind.

In looking into the descriptions of the noise, I don't think it'd be that, though. Most common thing I'm seeing is a rattling noise described. This isn't a rattle so much as a tapping noise, about once per rev, very regular and it changes with the engine revs. Unless it was the exhaust pulse knocking the EXUP plate in its mount I doubt it's the EXUP.

And you know what, that fucking thing is located: next to where the exhaust headers join the pipe.
