  1. This is for your own good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ7Aif5aXlQ
  2. Sup -- Lyndhurst here, but I'm up in Willoughby at least once a week.
  3. FZ1 with a ZG touring windshield. You're practically vertical on mine.
  4. She would say that your wife has internalized the overbearing and pervasive sociosexual oppression of The Patriarchy and is more or less a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. It's incredibly offensive. How you can go from: and end up at: Is just way, way beyond my comprehension. It's an incredibly infantilizing, frustrating concept. The point is, most of these bloggers exist in a vacuum chamber, and they only work with other feminists who think like they do, and only talk to other feminists on Tumblr who think like they do, and they never actually say any of this to men unless there are half a dozen cameras and at least 3 other proud womyn who don't need no man to back them up and corroborate the tale of the encounter on Facebook. Fuck 'em all. But not literally because I've seen some of the pictures of these hambeasts and eurhughghgh.
  5. I still maintain that, with the powertrain from the VFR1200, that would be an awesome bike for distance. I would 100% be saving towards one right now. It's too bonkers-looking for that piddly parallel-twin.
  6. Tigerstripe gold Desert Eagle in a drop leg.
  7. When I bought this one, it was between the FZ1 and a 2008 S83 Boulevard with about 500 miles on it. Some guy bought it and like, immediately died. Ended up on cycletrader at a dealership in Michigan. It was exactly the way I would have kitted it out, had I gotten the customization bug -- drag bars, black paint, sissy delete. Ended up going with the Fizzer because I can tour on this one just about as easily as I could on a cruiser. My lower back doesn't like to sit upright all day for some reason, I always end up trying to lean forward into the wind.
  8. If you go fast enough you sort of skip overtop of the craters.
  9. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/4500401949.html Looks basically stock, with the exception that the grab rails are missing.
  10. Side note -- Tonik is a good dude and his bike gave me funny thoughts, like "a cruiser wouldn't really be so bad..."
  11. WELL -- Apparently I'm paranoid, but that's the cheapest repair of all. Thanks to Tonik for stopping out my way and soothing my nerves... apparently nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond and listen. I'm gonna go for a ride.
  12. http://indefinitelywild.gizmodo.com/hondas-motogp-replica-really-will-be-a-motogp-1583932750 Want to be World Champ Marc Marquez? Good news: next year Honda will release a replica of his RC213V race bike that will be as close as possible to the real thing. We've got exclusive details. We've got sources at Honda. They gave us the exclusive details on the 2016 Honda Africa Twinand now have peaked under the 1,000cc V4 GP-replica's skirt and described what they've seen to us. One big detail that they refused to divulge was the name and one thing they couldn't find out was the release date. Other than that, I think we've got pretty much everything. "The bike will be as close as you can get to the real thing," says our source. "81mm bore, 48.5mm stroke. It really won't be much different from the RC213V with blinkers and a headlight." "The frame and swingarm are a goddamn work of art, the level of precision on this thing is tighter than anything I've seen short of the inside of engines," he continues. "I compared the frame dimensions to those of the GP bike and it appears to either be a carry-over or damn close to being one." "One thing it won't have is the seamless gearbox. If a million dollar open class bike doesn't have it, the street version sure as hell won't have one." SEXPAND Same frame, same bore and stroke? Sounds like Honda's taking the term "replica" literally. You'll be able to experience what Dani and Marc do every other weekend. Honda states that Marquez and Dani Pedrosa's RC213V race bikes make, "More than 235bhp" and weigh, "more than 160kg." That's the minimum weight for this top level of motorcycle racing. Our source says, "Final power and weight for the replica haven't been determined yet, but they'll be an awful lot and very little." We can assume Honda will be aiming to beat the power output of the current most powerful production bike on-sale, the 1,200cc Ducati 1199 Panigale R. Equipped with its included track-only exhaust, that motorcycle makes 202bhp and weighs 165kg/364lbs (dry). As on the MotoGP bike, the replica will feature the full suite of rider-aid electronics. Look for Honda to try and break new ground there, a necessary innovation to put this level of performance on the street. The signs are that Honda's replica will be a higher-spec bike than that Panigale R or even its super-low volume Superleggera. Where those bikes are fitted with very nice Ohlins NIX30 forks and a TTX36 shock, our source says the Honda wears piggyback reservoir Ohlins FGR items. Those retail for $13,000+ all on their own and are the same items worn by the 2007 Ducati Desmosedici RR. Itself a V4 MotoGP replica, that bike retailed for $72,500. Pricing for the Honda has not yet been finalized, but is likely to match or exceed that of the Desmo. Wheels on the Honda are Marchesini items and brakes are by Brembo. So what'll it look like? "All carbon bodywork with DZUS fasteners," says our source. "The graphics are similar to the GP test bike liveries — exposed carbon, minimal logos and full-on race numbers. It looks identical to the GP bike."SEXPAND "The headlights are mounted in the 'mouth' and can be removed for competition use, giving you the full ram-air effect," the source explains, testifying to the track-focus of this machine. It'll be street legal, but you won't be able to even approach its full capability without hitting a race track. "For whatever reason, Honda is seriously flexing its muscle with this one," they conclude. "If you put Marquez on it, he'll be able to lap close to the open bikes."
  13. Well, that's Probably not soMething I could help you with, Man. That's illEgal, don't you know.
  14. You're telling me!! I'm just hoping Tonik comes up here to discover absolutely nothing wrong and leaves with a six pack of his choosing for the trouble.
  15. In looking into the descriptions of the noise, I don't think it'd be that, though. Most common thing I'm seeing is a rattling noise described. This isn't a rattle so much as a tapping noise, about once per rev, very regular and it changes with the engine revs. Unless it was the exhaust pulse knocking the EXUP plate in its mount I doubt it's the EXUP.
  16. And you know what, that fucking thing is located: next to where the exhaust headers join the pipe.
  17. that would be great, Tonik, thank you.
  18. OK, so... this thing should stay garaged then, right?
  19. And yeah my valves are chattering up a storm, lol.
  20. I think I got a fairly good recording of it. Sounds like it's coming from behind the engine case. I could hear it most clearly on the left side, down behind the bike along the center line. Chuffing along maybe 8 beats per second... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cSpjezwews PS -- loud.
  21. Meh. Dislike how stubby the headlight cowl is. Ruins the proportions of the bike imho.
  22. I think I have a couple items that'll work.
