If it's done right, an electric is the fastest on the track. Pit stops are a bitch. Changing battery packs isn't easy. But in sprints, they win. Whether enough batteries can be jammed into a small frame like a motorcycle, remains to be seen.

a note: top scores in advanced classes can get a extra stripe coming out of the school. They don't tell you that, heheh. Money, it's a good thing. I got E-2 in basic, and I picked up both E-3 and E-4 in school with only a total of 4 months in the Army. A little unusual, but I wasn't complaining. I'm betting they still do that, give promotions for best students. So stay with it.

I've not used this one, but used others in the past. Most didn't catch on too well. I'm still using ActiveWorlds and SecondLife. Both are big in education at some schools, for classes on line. There's dozens of 3D worlds. Most built on one or two engines. Sony and MicroSoft both tried apps, but flopped. I'm still thinking about a GTA server...

*yawn*.... and to think I spent all my valuable time trying to learn not to wheelie. Darn front wheel comes up in 3 gears with just a little throttle. And WOT downshifts from 6th to 5th can be dicey. Hit that at the wrong RPM and the front wheel stops steering... I was goofing around on the way to work a couple of weeks back. I'd snap the throttle hard about 1/4 turn or less rolling in 1st or 2nd and shut it, to see what would happen. Front wheel would come up 5 to 10 inches and slam right back down. Not smooth, very harsh. Probably rather rough on the chain, and everything else.

Lowes has the one quart Kleen Strip mineral spirits. Back in the paint section. But they make you show ID and swear you aren't abusing it. No huffing allowed. Weird world. Any old time shop mechanic will use mineral spirits to clean chains around the shop. And yeah, I've pinched fingers and hand between sprocket and chain, even when spinning slowly. Nasty wound. It doesn't cut, it crushes. Hurts bad. Don't spin.

Update: I made contact with Aniket, he does appear to be working down the street from me. And he's working part time adjunct where I do! Small world. I'll try to walk/ride down and have lunch, they have better food anyway. I'm going to be suggesting that he bring the Enfield Musket to one of our Dyno Days for some pulls/charts. Fun, huh? Bring the cameras if it happens.

Definitely used parts. Quick lookup on cylinder head is $1,351.12. Maybe pickup entire junkyard bike for parts.

Not sure if still true, but some flights connecting through Canada are much cheaper. Up in Canada there are carriers (like Aeroflot) that aren't found in the USA. They are hard to search for, it takes some research. You mostly have to do two separate searches to find the total price.

If I read it right, this has nothing to do with Harley Davidson. Only some of the dealerships will participate outside of HD. Which means unlike yesteryear Italian bikes with Harley name on them, this won't be doing that.
