  1. Anything from Palmetto is price wise a good choice. That 18 inch barrel severely limits the choices. Most stuff is 16 or 20. The two 18 inch barrel uppers I listed have stainless steel barrels. There are no sights. You'll need a pair of sights and/or optics. edit: make sure you're looking at a 5.56 and not a 6.8 or other caliber.
  2. Well, I'm glad I don't live in the state of Oregon. The automatic fine for over 100 mph is $1103. Bad luck for a new Ducati. Washington man cited after high-speed test ride of new motorcycle in Central Oregon Seattle-area motorcyclist gets $1,103 ticket for going 130 mph in central Oregon edit: Oregon thinks they can suspend his Washington license? Can they do that?

  4. Google ohio hatcheries for chicken http://www.meyerhatchery.com/ http://www.mthealthy.com/ http://www.ridgwayhatchery.com/ http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/history.html They even show up on a Google map: https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=ohio+hatcheries+for+chicken&ie=UTF-8&ei=rOeGUbCyLIuhyAGGnYDADA&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg
  5. Dunno, but I've tasted tomatoes that tasted like skunk... That's annoying...
  6. Any node of vibration can be dampened by adding weight in a particular place that will null the vibration. Translation, adding weight attached to the handle bar at either the middle of the bar (between clamp and bar end), or at the bar end, can reduce vibration. The exact position and amount of weight is usually a guessing game, but it can be done. Aircraft mechanics and engineers fix hydraulic lines that like to break, by doing exactly this. Sometimes just adding a U clamp and moving it around to experiment, will do the trick. Another way is to add an extra brace across the center clamp, that supports the bars left and right about half way out. I added slightly heavier bar ends to dampen vibration. Hard to test, since there is a specific RPM that will excite the harmonics. I have nice after market mirrors, but they vibrated. They shouldn't have done that. I took them off, and added rubber washers and o-rings all over the place. Problem fixed. There's lots of tricks, just have to find one that works.
  7. I don't care if it's a tiny sparrow. I duck hard enough to just about dent the tank. You don't want to get hit by a bird. Quite surprising how hard they hit. edit: I got hit by a toad/frog right in the thick boot. I indeed felt that. It hit much harder than I would ever have suspected. And that was in a 45mph zone.

    Gitmo closing!

The US had interment camps for German prisoners all over the Eastern US. There was one in North Western Ohio. Once here, they often didn't want to go back. We didn't have much for Japanese captured. There weren't any. To make up for it, the US over reacted and tried to intern all Japanese American citizens. (Not really, but it appeared that way.) Simple differences. A military internment camp is barracks for trained troops that were captured. A prison is for control of out of control people. Gitmo is neither and both. We nave nothing else like it, and it suits the untrained out of control dangerous prisoners that are neither citizens nor trained foreign troops. Any that weren't dangerous, were sent home. Where most became what they were before. Jihad fighters. Released prisoners, historically, are released on their pardon. That means they promise to not fight again in the present conflict. That means to not take up arms. Other duties are usually reasonable. It's an honor thing. Jihad fighters have demonstrated the exact opposite. Culturally, many people in the world have a tradition that it is ok to lie and cheat in a business transaction if you can get away with it. Or even if you don't. Only the kin of your clan is treated with respect. If the world won't change, we will have to.
  9. Bridgestone makes a BT-45V and a BT-45 Rear bias ply tire in 140/80-18M/C but I don't see a 110/70-18 for the front. Searching might be easier if we knew which model/year of Yamaha. edit: I've run larger tires on back, and on both front and back. It's do-able, I didn't mind the quicker turn in, not sure about a slower turn in, never tried that. I've also seen problems with front fender clearance, and rear tire swing arm or chain clearance.

    Gitmo closing!

Previous plan was to ship them to various federal prisons state side. Atlanta and Pennsylvania come to mind. That got turned down. Also doesn't make sense if they are combatants.
  11. most are still out of stock. Can be found American made in the 550-650 range. Which isn't a bad price considering inflation. This one is interesting and in stock. Combo of German and American precision. And has the traditional AK look and feel. East German DDR AK 47 7.62x39mm Rifle $899.00 There's certainly nothing wrong with the reliability of an AK. Hits quite hard and good accuracy out to 400 yards. If you ever see a milled receiver AK at stamped receiver prices, you should definitely consider buying it. There's not many of those around. edit: one more Romanian AK47 7.62x39 WASR-10 #AKAGUN20 also available here: http://www.jgsales.com/-p-3448.html
  12. Fair enough. No mechanic will always catch freelance mods and odd parts.
  13. Shinko 006 Podium Motorcycle Tire 100 bucks more or less That's it. That's all I see.
  14. I swear vision improves as well. I've quit a few times, only to start back up. Keep trying, if nothing else you'll save a ton of cash. Find things to do that aren't smoking related. I mean I don't smoke on a motorcycle. That's one. And those first few days are easier for me if I carry a water bottle and hold water in my mouth almost constantly. Dunno, it just helps. I think it never bothered me as much as other people. I can get on a plane and fly far away, and not smoking on the plane is no big deal.
  15. Two blondes and a pepperoni pizza?
  16. saw this: "The hearing raised questions about why the men were allowed to stay in the United States if their visas were allegedly invalid." oh the irony you can't deport those poor poor people why didn't you deport them can't win with the US media
  17. Yeah... but 500 rounds of 762x39 is only 130 bucks.
  18. oops, ah hahahaha ok apologies to Evil Twin part deux
  19. 30-06 is a military caliber. You better get one right meow.
  20. Nice tool. That would be quick.
  21. Found it. My copy of factory service manual says: Recommended Fork Fluid: Pro Honda Suspension Fluid SS-8 Fork Fluid Capacity: 531 +- 2.5cm3 (18.0 +-0.08 US oz, 18.7 +-0.09 Imp oz) It also says to then measure level: (from top of fork down, after pumping forks to remove air) Fork Fluid Level: 110mm (4.3 in) a cubic centimeter is the same liquid size as a milliliter.
  22. 110 milliliters is the right range for fork oil. But not for a 2003 CB600RR 110 milliliters is 3.72 US fluid ounce. I have no idea what 4.2 would be. It's not on this very handy conversion. http://www.amazon.com/Anchor-Hocking-5-Ounce-Measuring-Glass/dp/B001QYAGO4/ref=pd_sim_k_1
  23. Didn't know touching them was that dangerous. I'll remember that. And darn it, as soon as "mushrooms" was said, I can't stop thinking "badger badger badger".
