How many times have you been caught out in the snow?
ReconRat replied to motociclista's topic in Daily Ride
Once after work, going home. It wasn't bad, but definitely time to be someplace else. Four or more times have gone out when there was still ice or snow on some roads. It's a wonderful feeling when the temperatures zoom up to 70F for the day, and you can still see frozen ponds along side the road. -
Stage Two: Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has announced he will propose a bill to “nullify” any of President Obama’s executive orders on gun control that give the appearance that the president is writing new legislation. Separation of Powers Restoration and Second Amendment Protection Act 2013 (not found yet) Also found this from Texas:H.R. 410: To provide that any executive action infringing on the Second Amendment has no force or effect, and to prohibit the use of funds for certain purposes.

OR: "A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited" LIMITED = INFRINGED "A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unINFRINGED" "A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is INFRINGED" dictionary really doesn't list "limited" as a synonym (Google does), but does list: limited Synonyms: bounded, circumscribed, defined, definite, determinate, finite, measured, narrow, restricted infringe on or upon Synonyms breach, break, contravene, fracture, infringe, offend, traduce, transgress 1 : to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another <infringe a patent> 2 obsolete : defeat, frustrate intransitive verb : encroach —used with on or upon <infringe on our rights Definition of ENCROACH 1 : to enter by gradual steps or by stealth into the possessions or rights of another 2 : to advance beyond the usual or proper limits <the gradually encroaching sea> so: shall not be infringed = shall not encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another; shall not enter by gradual steps or by stealth into the possessions or rights of another; shall not advance beyond the usual or proper limits. If the old definitions of infringe are used, which is proper: shall not: defeat 1 obsolete : destroy 2 a : nullify <defeat an estate> b : frustrate 2a(1) <defeat a hope> 3: to win victory over : beat <defeat the opposing team> frustrate 1 a : to balk or defeat in an endeavor b : to induce feelings of discouragement in 2 a (1) : to make ineffectual : bring to nothing (2) : impede, obstruct b : to make invalid or of no effect edit: lol, the public is being traduced; to expose to shame or blame by means of falsehood and misrepresentation

I think I'd avoid NLRB for a while. All their decisions of the past year were just potentially nullified due to the reversal of the executive order that set their administration. All decisions will be in question and probably contested. They say will continue business as usual, but I think they will be a little busy with damage control. edit: Not to mention a current congressional investigation into NLRB bias in decision making. Which isn't going well for them.

Yeah, I noticed the bit about the grip. I'm waiting for the official release. Everything I've looked at so far, each has different wording. Apparently it's constantly edited.

No problem, just pass an executive order reversing the DC court decision... Just kidding, not likely to happen. Nor is it likely to proceed to the supreme court. The DC district court's decision was unanimous. Both left and right leaning parts of the non partisan court agreed. It's not likely that the supreme court would reverse that.

wow, The Atlantic actually quoted verse: Which is King James 7th Psalm14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. 15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. 16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. The Atlantic article contains the history behind all of this. Boston Herald

Strange, Feinstein AWB has pretty much dropped out of the news already. Not headlines in many places, except maybe on CNN politics webpage. Seems to be more interest in the Obama vs Reid coming up.
-

It's the humidity... Actually, Phoenix planted green parks all over the city to reduce violence and crime. It actually worked. It lowered the street level temperature.

Wait, you mean something like an offer of citizenship for serving in armed forces? Of course, that's worked well for many years. Lots of countries do that.

Good grief, I remember doing that with M16s. Do troops still do that? Can they even do that with a newer model rifle? (And if the rifles fell over we were in serious deep shit.)
