  1. I like that you posted it, it's really gone hush hush now in the world because people don't want to talk about it. They need to. They need to be reminded daily.
  2. Wife and I just talked about this at dinner Thurs, no fucking way this was an accident, sorry. And honestly, researching it is just weird in general(sorry but it is). I have daycare duty 90% of the time and I won't even shut my drivers door until I have the keys out, usually sitting on the truck bed cover, and his door open. At work I am constantly thinking about him, I mean there isn't a 30 minute span I don't think about him for at least 5 minutes. No way this just happens like this. Honestly, I don't even like to think about the people who do say it was an accident and have gotten off scottfree. I still believe they are guilty of death, sorry. The information we have now on this guy and his wife for that matter scream they were planning this and it was 100% premeditated. Honestly, I don't care if it was an accident, I hope he gets his asshole so stretched in prison he begs to be dead and the other con's don't kill him until he suffers for at least 8 hrs just like the time he was at his work. It was an ONSITE daycare, no way you just randomly park on top of a garage in the direct sun all day and accidentally forget to drop the kid off after having bfast with him 10 minutes earlier and put him back in your car. Then go back out at lunch, fuck that. I hope his wife had no idea it was going to happen, but I don't think that's true. Just thinking how bad that kid suffered makes me sick, if I could, I'd kill that guy myself. It wouldn't be swift nor painless. I would make him wish he had killed himself for every second I had with him. I am a sick fucker when it comes to kids and hurting them, especially your own. And FWIW if it was me, I would have killed myself the second I found out he was dead, somehow, I would have. I couldn't live with myself for a second, let alone how he drove to a whole new place before "realizing" his kid was dead in the back seat. Fucking pig. The end.
  3. August is 100% booked for me, any chance you'll still have some classes in Sept? I only have 1 weekend booked that month.
  4. No way. Bill was definitely cool and major props for doing what he does at that age, but are you sure you didn't make this up?
  5. That was a concern also, was hoping that the thickness wouldn't be that as much as it is. May need to start looking into some lighter weight stuff or making the dimensions smaller. Poop, my plans are getting ruined.
  6. Recon, English please From what I got ~1/4" Ballistic Steel (6 mm) Is what I need? Either way, I want to stop a 556 or 762, at point blank. I have the green light from wife so want to make this happen this summer before winter. Yeah that was too easy. Josh thanks, but that isn't cost effective, he'll just have that at school and stuff like sleepovers. Midget, you smell like spaghetti, I like it. Are you going to tell Bowdog to buy my TH after this winter is over? What plate thickness are you using at the range? I m not overly worried about a 308 at point blank like I said, just 762, which is close I guess. I actually have a guy that runs a machine shop and all that out of Mansfield and I know he has a water jet that cuts things as thick as axles so I think he's got me covered. Totally forgot about him earlier. Sounds like I need to borrow the FILs trailer and my truck when I pick it all up, but also need to do the teardown first and make sure I provide good measurements on studs and where I want holes drilled for mounting. I think I am going to go 7 feet high, I figure the angle of any gun over that with a ceiling cannot ricochet enough to bounce back, and then surround the whole room and floor. Next question; Wife said it's fine to make it fire/smoke proof, who the fuck do I talk to about a high powered exhaust fan? HVAC guys? Or someone who does fire extinguisher systems? I have the 2nd option on speed dial but they do big shit like FedEx warehouse. Basically I think this is turning into Panic Room 2.0, I like it but damn I wanted to keep it basic originally. But happy wife = happy life. Just ask Maxpower, that little shit, going out of town for the 4th leaving Casper and I in Groveport to fend for ourselves. Actually we aren't even going now, and neither is Casper and his wife and son all because of Maxpower. well also because Luke sleeps like 6 hrs a night and we can't be out late. Im drunk but I hope you get the gist of that. I need to know what thickness I need to stop up to 762 at point blank and would love to pay Eflores for this so he can make some $$ on the side.
  7. I was also considering just doing the bottom few feet as well, or like a smaller section. I definitely thought that steel price would be way higher then that though. What's something like that weigh, no really lol? Also how does it get cut to size per say. Like say I wanted to do the floor in pcs, or walls in pcs. Appreciate that info too.
  8. So the new house is going to be home for a long time, unless by some grace of God one of us gets relocated to somewhere like VT/NH/CO/MT, but in the meantime no plans to move until our son is graduated and moved on. With that said, I've been thinking a lot about transitioning our walk in closet to a semi-safe room. It's not a huge one as we also have a normal closet in our master bed, but about 8x8 or maybe 8x6 really. It is currently finished with some stupid closet system that my wife and I both hate, so we plan to remodel it shortly anyways. With that said I figure it'd be a perfect time to tear it down to the studs and remove the carpet and make it a safe room, or at least bullet proof, not so worried about fire/smoke as if that is the case we'll be leaving the house. But in the rare instance we may have an intruder, I'd rather be over prepared then under. So my questions is, I figure steel plating would be the cheapest, but no idea on thickness or anything as I've never shot steel. I'd like to have it stop up to 7.62, as I figure that's probably the most intense firepower someone would have. If they bring a tank, maybe we'll give up first. I'd like to cover the walls, floor, and take it to almost the cieling or at least 6 feet high. Would also probably have a "box" setup, to enclose the kid from any ricochets, not RPGs, just bouncing bullets. I am actually serious about this and figure if we're going to tear it down anyways, might as well lose the 1 inch or so when we do it, and just "bite the bullet". Nice ey? Anyone have any idea what the cost of steal is for larger areas? I am guessing not cheap, but have no idea really. Thoughts, helpful info, all would be appreciated. I've already priced bulletproof backpacks for when he goes to school, cheap, no big deal there. Same with bulletproof clipboards, so he'll be plenty equipped with those when not home along with plenty of proper firearm and fleeing training both. We already have our escape routes covered for flight vs. fight, and his room exits to a tree and the front street so feel pretty safe we'll never need any sort of safe room, but I bet a lot of people have said that and wish they had one at a later time.
  9. Matt Carr comes to mind, watch some youtube of him, esp if there's any Jennings that Twisted can upload or link you to. He doesn't drag knee often as he keeps his legs tucked in more than a lot of other guys. A lot of it is personal riding style. I am fat and 5 11 and on a small bike I really didn't have much room to keep the leg in like he does, and when I did it felt funny. I also didn't like burying my knee though and would try to adjust the leg in and up/forward more but never felt right. Also watch the SV guys, especially in the caresoul I found watching them through there helped me work more on thinking of lines and not burying my knee as much and taking that to other places on the track.
  10. Ugh, fine, I will. Just gotta grab the power washer for the fence anyways so I'll hit the deck too. I hate you right now, decks suck to power wash and stain/seal/whatever you want to call this stuff.
  11. I gotta get my dad in your CHL class, he's been putting it off for a year now and Im getting peed about it. Then we need to take some advanced classes. Good work and glad to know you're teaching advanced too.
  12. I cant decide if I want to do a coat or not this season now after thinking about it. I figure we're tearing it all off next year so not sure that's a good expense right now.
  13. Good post, we're replacing all the wood on our current deck next season with the lifetime stuff, keeping only the joists from the current deck and the footprint. Then moving the stairs to the right instead of having 2 sets of skinny stairs and making 1 wide staircase down onto a stamped concrete patio. Was curious what prices were like on something like that, now I have at least a little idea. We considered pavers, but I'm just not huge on them unless they are done 100% correct, and even then I get tired of them and their cost. This season we may just powerwash and put on that thick cake batter stuff that was referenced for the remainder of summer, but the deck was just stained a year or 2 ago so not too bad, but not too good either. Figure we'll be in this house for a long time so might as well make everything how we want it to be.
  14. It always sucks that weekend is that event and then also our 2 last races for the he!! tour in Attica and Wauseon so we can never make it. I love superbike weekend, but we're the only 2 crew members that make the trek across OH to Wauseon for our driver and some of the other guys from the area, so we're usually balls deep in grease and race fuel, instead of Coors Light and relaxing in the esses.
  15. Listed for 175 on craigs, 150 for anyone on OR. We have a full size electric fireplace in a light oak finish for sale that has been very gently used. We only used it to hold our DVD player and surround sound receiver. The heat element has been used two or three times and is adjustable, with a knob and also with 2 different heat levels. Option to turn heat off and use just the fan is there too. Flame is adjustable via a knob as well. This is in excellent condition but our new house is finished in dark wood and we have a wood burning fireplace. This is light oak and a normal mantel height. I would estimate the top of the mantel to be about 45 inches and it's about 40 inches wide. Excellent condition and very light use. http://columbus.craigslist.org/fuo/4546069250.html Looks just like those pics, light oak. John 419-610-5666 I can bring it to Polaris area if that helps with a pickup from the east side. I may be in groveport this week too on the 4th, but not sure.
  16. Craig, you've met my wife, you don't need pics lol. Todd, I know Bowdog has been in the trailer when I got it too, so he's aware of setup too. if you do want any pics shoot me a PM. I have a TH in MI I want, and have an event the 3rd weekend of July so I have to have some kind of camper for that lol.
  17. UPDATE: I have a TON of pics on my phone and the craigslist ad has some now too. If anyone wants any pics of the TOY HAULER not the wife, I have tons. I even got on the roof and realized how freaking clean this thing is. I had no idea the roof was so clean, but apparently the enclosed storage is worth the $ we pay.
  18. Just an FYI; http://slickdeals.net/localdeal/2644420/two-adult-races-for-one-with-head-sock-and-optional-individual-membership-at-grand-prix-karting-up-to-44-off
