  1. it is more of a pain to line up the forward handle oriented on the spools/swingarm than the regular (backwards facing) handled version. the regular handled stand has no real disadvantage compared to the forward stand unless you dont have a kick stand and are really incapable of balancing the bike while you walk around back to put the regular handle stand on and/or you don't have the extra few inches of space. i have both, i prefer the regular handle.
  2. whats the video say? i hate when they dont have even a summary of what's reported on the video
  3. i want to edit "regularly" to "regular" but if you read it in derp batman's voice, it's still ok.
  4. for sale is my Dainese Horizon jacket in medium (US42/EURO52, i think... at least, it fits like it. i'll double check the size, but if you wear that size, this jacket will fit you). it is made entirely of Dainese's D-stone fabric which is supposedly several times more abrasion resistant than leather. there are several parts of the jacket that is also leather. it is an excellent jacket and form fitting, and flows air enough to vent when it's hot but not enough to be intolerable when it is chilly out. a good jacket for a wide range of temps when paired with appropriate underlayer. I like it, but i rarely wear it since i have too many other jackets and suits lololol I need to take a pic of the actual jacket, but it looks like this it retails new for $400+ (if you can still find it anywhere for sale) never crashed, dropped, or even emotionally abused in. once, someone gave me the stink eye while i was wearing it, but i looked away fast enough to prevent hurtfulness damage to the jacket. it has a few bugs from the last ride i took on it, but take some warm water and scrub it. pretty easy to clean, i just haven't had a chance to do it yet due to laziness/busy-ness $200 + shipping. or you can pick up or we can meet up somewhere. located in mentor (25minutes NE of cleveland).
  5. oh i seeeeeee so we'd have to get there pretty early. maybe next time!
  6. so what you're saying is, you should wait until horrible terrible things happen to you repeatedly and on a regularly basis before you consider risk mitigation.
  7. trmn8tr and i tried to go last night but got there a bit late and they said it was too late and that we wouldnt be able to run til like 930 so we just left. i thought it was an open setup but i was wrong. can you tell me how the races are setup?
  8. Hey, we need that so I can crash it some more. Find someone else's piece of shit to trade away for that British pile of ass

    My dad has cancer

I'm so sorry to hear Scott. I hope things go easier for you and your family.
  10. btw, please PM if you see this and you are going (cause i'll get the email notification). otherwise, i'll just start harassing every blue zx14 i see. i'll report back with my injuries.
  11. are you still going? trmn8tr and i are talking about going tonight assuming there aren't any special requirements we need to meet or something
  12. does that mean you work for anandtech or something? (lol, can you tell i'm a computer nub yet?) also, how many times do you get asked "will this run diablo III lol" per day?
  13. we are fat and out of shape (or at least, i am) and probably can't do more than 40 minute stints (if even that)... what kinda exercises, training regimen did your team do to help with the endurance part of it? if we dont figure this part out, we're going to probably abduct and go all cannibal on wayne's ass to steal his powers. (wayne being the giant greek on the r1 who does the 3hr by himself in case somebody doesn't know who i'm talking about)
  14. i'm not sure how "for serial" the rest of the group wants to take the racing effort, but I'm guessing we'll probably aim for the "have fun and get feet wet" type effort. However, I believe everything Brian and Ducattihottie noted apply to our little start up, just on varying scales. I'll start up conversations with brandon, craig, and whoever is going to be our 4th (and maybe a 5th? seems one too many though) to discuss how we want to approach it. and i know others have shown interest in doing something similar in this thread and the nelson thread. feel free to post up and organize.
  15. may i suggest you make a list of 10 things anden doesn't know about you? i think it's a fair and reasonable return volley.
  16. I'm going to name my deadly poison laced shuriken "elbows" so I can say that I killed some bitches by throwing elbows.
  17. just quoting for the sake chaining events together. ...and, you may proceed.
  18. all very excellent points. we have a lot to think about. thanks for taking the time to write that up. if you think of any more stuff that came up from when you were doing the team endurance racing, please share. thanks
  19. I can't remember if it was the duc or ape but it is opposite to my Honda and kawi. I often wonder if italians sturb with their left hand more than their right... It's the only reasonable explanation.
  20. Pretty neato! Nice work. Wanna make me a panda? lol
  21. You keep upping your arsenal, so I hope you appreciate my intense efforts in trying to keep up in this cold tard war
  22. If you could start with what you believe were essential to good team operation, that would be great. I'm sure we'll have lots of questions from there.
  23. Scarlet on grey, naturally.
  24. Since most of us didn't start some form of road racing at age 5, I'm thinking we should focus on having fun. If we finish well, get podiums, great. If not, oh well. I'm more interested in having fun and getting better at riding.
  25. i apologize for my suspiciousness, i just don't know if i can ever trust a bro again after what craig did to me last year.
