You have omitted the posts where the OP was being an asshat. I would expect to get the same second post if I had posted a ride and the outcome would have been different. What rules were being violated that meant the thread needed closing? A moving target is hard to hit and I am having a hard time finding consistency. Aren't you able to have a public discussion about how this place is run and what you expect? You don’t need to because this is your place and Fuck Off is a response you are able to give to that question. If you want this place to be more Harley friendly why don't you create a few sub-forums that would be of interest for them. I have owned a Harley and this forum wouldn't have sparked my interest when I did. The majority of the front page and not location specific sub-forums are about racing or track days. If you want this place to be something other than that you have the power to change it.

Wrong, wrong & wrong, maybe you should read the thread before condemning it. The guy didn't get to know the lay of the land and paid the price for being uninformed, then retaliated by being a tool. How many people were defending him? No more hazing the new guys especially if they own a Harley? I am having a hard time understanding what sort of behavior you are looking for; do you expect us to all get along? Do we have to give certain group of people more leeway because they get their but hurt?

Did I miss the part where he identified himself as a Harley rider? I thought he said he rode a Honda and had several CBRs in the past along with a Goldwing or two. Is it okay to jump on a new guy if they ride sport bikes or non Harleys?

I tried to tell them but they are all a bunch of ignorant haters. I'm surprised the huge majority of Harley owners on the board haven't come to the defense of this new guy and squash these e-thugs like a bug. I think all the cruiser guys should gang up on them or maybe they are all out riding instead of arguing on the internet.

Wow, I can't believe a shifting thread is like an oil or tire thread, opinions are all over the place. I clutchless shift as much as possible at every RPM, between every gear, up and down as a way to save wear and tear on my bike and it is far from speed shifting. I have never had a transmission issue on a bike using this method in fact I have had issues with a bike before I started using this method.

You guys should be nicer to the new guy. I wish he would have decided to stick around, it sounds like he could teach us all a thing or two. I bet he has owned more bikes that most of us.
