  1. Thanks for all the good info guys. I am looking more for a fun plinker not a target gun. The 22a/s felt weird in the hand angle of the grip felt off to me? The neos was better in the hand feel but is kinda bulky. I think it is down to the ruger mark III and the sig. I might have to rent them both again and see which one I like better?
  2. Not an expert but sounds like you might have got a box of bad shells. Like mentioned if it is not locking into battery it would not fire and it is. It sounds like you got a few shells that might have been out of round? Have you tried other types of ammo yet? I have a 870 and have never had any problems with it?
  3. Whats wrong with you Max don't you know we are all to be experts before we are allowed to post on the subject of shooting a gun?! Such talk from newbs is not gonna cut it for our two pro shooters. So all kiddin aside glad you got out and had some fun. Cause that is why most of us shoot, for fun not to have a stick stuffed up our ass. Man I am glad I have never said any range reports before I might be banned from the firearms section for calling a rifle something its not!
  4. The prices I have seen are cheaper on the sig. I can get the sig with threaded barrel for around $319. The rugers are around the same price with the bull barrel. For just a base sig they are $299, the ruger mark III is $229 for the 22/45. I just have little experience with the rugers. Maybe if I got to shoot one it might change my mind.
  5. I looked at the ruger they look nice but I did not like the way they broke down to clean them and the genral functions of the gun seemed off to what I am use to. I know the sig and the p22 are ammo picky. Jbots p22 changed poi almost 2-3 inches when I went from his thunderfarts to my fed bulk. I couldnt hit shit with his gun was way low and right. Loaded up some fed bulk copper hp and it moved right onto target? I heard the sig likes minimags.
  6. So I am looking to get a semi auto 22lr for plinking. I have shot Jbots p22 and it was nice. I have also rented a sig mosquito, and liked that alot also. I have looked at the berreta Neos, and the S&W 22a, also looked at the ruger markIII and browning buckmark. I dont like these styles as much as the p22, and the sig. So if it were your $300 which one would you pick. I am leaning towards the mosquito with the threaded barrel.
  7. My 7 year old son does this! Will walk by his room and he starts mumbling something turn around to see what he said and he is back asleep. Will stand there for a min. and he starts talking again. Mostly about his little brother not touching his stuff. or yelling about his older brother to stop hitting him. He also sleep walks, will walk around with his eyes open in a trance and will not remember anything the next day. He scares the shit out of me once in awhile, I will come home from second shift walk upstairs and he is standing in a dark hallway, not saying anything. I have to usher him back to bed. If you try to wake him he freaks out and start screaming and crying. We had to start shutting his door to keep him in his room.
  8. I think drmbtzz got rid of his blue sv650, and was looking to get a R1 I think last time I talked to him.
  9. I agree wait and you will find a better deal. I got my monster snow blower on close out in march and save about half off. I have a 11hp tank tread 28 inch two stage with six speeds, and electric start. price was well over a grand I picked it up late season for around 500.
  10. Move up by the lake and say that you dont need a snow blower!!
  11. It is sunny out today? kinda warm! And it would be fun to shoot a snow man up out on the farm!!
  12. Hey curby I got a right handed galco iwb holster I am looking to get rid of. it fit my pt 145 think it made for a glock19? Anyways it will almost fit my xd but the front is to thick. I am also left handed so I was using this sob, and have got a new iwb for my xd. if it fits you can have it for 10 bucks. looks like this.
  13. I use to have a m&p 9mm they are very nice guns. A bit big to carry but they are great for range work/house guns. The back straps are nice when you find the one that fits your hand best.
  14. Thats funny my mags must be a middle model cause my Mags for both my xd's are 16 rnds. And my sub compact is 13 rnds. +1 on the grip extension.
  15. That for a 100 rnds? Thats crazy I can get 50 rnds of blazer brass for my 9mm for 11.99
  16. I would be up for some neo stuff this year.
  17. What ever Shadyone don't listen to the haters. I loved my taurus. Was made in the U.S.A. and had a lifetime transferable warranty.
  18. Ruger wheel guns are rock solid. There semi auto are not know to be much better then the taurus. Look at all the recalls they had on the lcp and lcr when they first came out. Think they have had some problems with the sr9 also. Not fighting about ruger not being junk guns just sick of people who have never owned a taurus semi auto running there mouth about how bad they are. I have never owned most brands of weapons so I dont chime in on every thread saying they are junk. I have owned a springfield 1911, s&w m&p, a pt-145 and a set of xd9's. I can say I have never had problems with any of these weapons.
  19. ^^^from the guy thats says ruger hand guns are the way to go LOL! I had a pt-145 and put close to 2k rounds down range without a problem. I think in all the rounds fired I might have had one stove pipe with blazer alum. They are know to have poor service with problems. And there turn around time is know to be slow. But they make good stuff for the money. There is gonna be a few bad guns made by anybody. Ever seen the glock with blown out slides or triggers? I am sure if I looked I could find a story online about anygun having problems, after all it must be true if its on the interwebz?
  20. Yeah less likely to be found in a life/death situation also. But If you need to change mags then you are screwed anyways right? If it is the same size as the p22 then that would be a great summer gun for pocket carry. I have been looking for a smaller gun for pocket carry in the summer. Maybe this might fit the bill. they make it in a 9mm?
  21. I have been looking at those as well, they make a 22lr conversion for the taurus 800 series models. Would be nice to be able to go to the range and shoot 500 rounds for a few bucks. Then switch it back for home defense. Where did you pick it up my local shop does not have any in stock.
  22. Good choice on the walthers. they seem to make good stuff. I liked jbots little .22 I shot last time we were at the range. Only gripe would be the weird mag release. Scott, let me know when you want to go to the range I will bring my 2 xd's save ya some money on renting them.
  23. So does the glitch on xbox give you a red ring of death? Oh my bad that is from playing the system right LOL!
  24. I have NEVER wanted a wheel gun till I saw one of those! If only they were not the price of a desert eagle! LOL
  25. I stayed home and played cod mw2 also. Pmc brass is pretty good stuff to plink with, better then umc. Ruger makes some good stuff. I have a mini that I like alot and am looking to get a second one. I have lots of overtime this week so I might be out for shooting? I might be able to do it tues, or fri.
