    Do you guys mind if i get in on this? i know most you all dont hardly know me, But lately i've had trouble sleeping or been up late and am on here anyway, and figured it might give me more of a chance to shoot the shit with some more people on here.   3. Did i miss the second gear wheelie in that vid? cuz all i saw was it squat it hard a few times, still fuckin quick lil miata. Also, isnt the T-25 the same turbo that came on the 2nd gen eclispes? the same ones that run out of cfm around 13-15psi? the same ones that max out at around 230-250 to the wheels on a 4g63 with basicly every bolt on possible? Ok, well welcome, and You want to get a in a dig for a $100?
  4. Absolutly sick riding, and i cant believe that they managed to shut down the highway! R.O.C gets better each year, i still want to make it out onn time soon. They def. killed that shit this year, props to all of em.
  5. So no go on the boss setup? what about droping my crank and pistons in a 351 block thats been prepped? Maybe ill just try and leave it alone the way it sits, but shit, it still sounds like it may split just being n/a? are any of the older 302 blocks worth a shit? Hey gearhead, and hell 93 you can chime in too, whats a decent suspension setup to do, this car will be setup to dig, and i'd like to try and get it to hook hard on the street if at all possible. I was thinking k member, moroso springs and strange struts on the front, and a upr pro setup out back with strange shocks, either 4 cyl fox springs or moroso springs and a roll bar. car will be getting a basic set of subframes and a 8 pt cage, and of course the torque boxes, i'm sure that still needs to be addressed on a new edge right? any other ideas, or different setups? Basicly want to make a sick 10.5 tire car on the stock style suspension.

EDIT: nevermind, just read the sticky under the passing lane, yup, this is tech alright, lol. anyway, 91, let me know what you would be looking to get for that block and crank, if its not alot i may be interested. Gearhead, Boost, and Kirk, if you know of any tricks to setting up a block aside from the above mentioned gridles, let me know, if i have to, and if that boss block wont fit ( ill just drop it in a ranger project if it wont work) i'll just get another 5.0 block and have it setup right. Any idea on that 68 stuff?
  7. cool, thats what i am leaning toward. where is the best place to pick up a decently priced one? Also, this will be in my 04, not a fox, so i dont know if the weight difference changes anything? And finaly, anyone know where i can find info on swapping a mod motor in a 68 stang? I'm doing a build for the guy i got the engine from and i want to research the subject as much as possible and figure out the best way to do it. Thanks, Matt
  8. Oh and the motor is a fully forged, 11.5:1-12:1, built 347, fully ported afr's, fully ported victor jr intake, .680 lift solid roller, fed by a worked holley hp series carb, so i have no doubt that the motor makes killer power. its not your basic h/c/i 347.
  9. Thanks, So whats the deal on that boss block? can i swap my internals into it? I just want something that i can count on lasting for quite a while, yet make a decent amount of power. Also, i am guessing that that amount of power is going to murder a t5, so what would you all suggest as far as a transmission? i was looking at liberty to get like a proshifted kit, and also thinking of just swapping to a c4 with a brake. this is all new territory to me as i have never really had a car that made over 450 hp, so any advice would be great.

  11. Quick question. What is the power limit for a built small block ford, 5.0 block based? It has a girdle, and all forged bottom end, and all arp fasteners, main studs, rod bolts etc. I'm not as worried about the rotating assembly as i am the block, i just got a new toy and am trying to figure out how far i can push it. The motor supposedly makes well north of 500hp at the crank and i had planned on a small nitrous hit on top of that? Pushing it to far? Safe? Thoughts? Matt

Just completely gutting the drivetrain, and the stereo lol. 500rwhp is way over the safe limit of a stock 4.6. 400-450 at the crank is where most say they come apart. so add in another 4-7k for a new motor , plus getting my trans rebuilt or swapped out for a c4 anyway for at least another 1k, and i'm looking at well over 15k, when you add in all the lil shit and cost of the blower kit, to safely reach the power level i would start to be happy with. I just cant be happy driving around on a gernade lol. Now on the flip side, o can put together a very stout 351 for around 3-4k, and then turn around and whack it with nice sized hit, and bam, well over 500rwhp for around 6 grand. add in all the other stuff and i might have 10k wrapped up in the whole switchover deal. I have put alot of thought into this, to some i know it makes no sense to chop up a great car thats so new, but hell, its mine, and i want to have a fast ass car, and also have something you wouldnt see on the street every day. Back on topic, someone buy something, lol...

  20. Yea, i could, not really worried about that much. i know what it puts down at the tire, so it was just a rough guess anyway.
  21. True, it is a basic bolton car that has been tuned. BBK CAI, 75mm tb, and Plenum, tr-6 plugs, custom x pipe, custom catback, and a sct 6600 chip. It is just a very strong running factory motor. Also, if my math is right, 266*.25=66+266=332. the 3650 is know to eat a fair amount of power, but i guess it could be anywhere from 315-330.
  22. Also i'm looking for a carb'd 302 or 351, so if anyone has one and would like to work something out let me know. Edit: I now have one, somewhere in between those two lol...
