Installed the Rox risers on the VStrom after dinner tonight. From a quick loop around the neighborhood it feels much better. Hopefully I can get out for a longer ride tomorrow and see how my shoulders feel after a few hours in the saddle. Also, New front tire mounted on the Wing and Coolant flush completed. Looking forward to hitting the road on June 19th. 👍

Ordered rox risers for the VStrom. I’m tired of sore shoulders

We’ll be hitting backroads Friday and Saturday in SE Ohio, WV, VA and NC including the New River Gorge Bridge, Rt 16, Shady Valley and the BPR starting around Boone. I’ll be at DGMR Sunday night thru Friday morning. Have a great ride !

I recall someone bought $1,000 worth of gift cards for $500, but can’t recall if it was here or on ADV. If Fontana Village files bankruptcy, gift cards are general unsecured creditors - translation is gift card holder likely get nada. Really sucks especially if they knew the finances were questionable even before covid 19 struck. In my past life we called that fraud.

A 195/55/16 will fit the newer Goldwings they work pretty well on a 2008 too, although I prefer to run a 175/60/16 run flat. 😎

We just renewed our CHLs in Lorain County in early April. They were great to deal with. They have reduced the hours for doing this so getting an appointment might take some time. Erie county does them as walk-ins. First come, first served. Not sure if that’s too far for you.

Stopped at Marcs in Elyria for some canned goods today after picking up our renewed CHLs. Couldn’t believe they had lots of TP. Bought a few packages since we’re helping supply family that can’t get out. Still no Clorox or Lysol wipes. No problem, we just make our own with a bleach and water mixture on wash cloths, then wash them and reuse. Still can’t understand why people thought they needed to hoard toilet paper. DUH

Sounds good. I made the mistake of riding my Wing up there when there was still mud on the road. Won’t do that again. 😳
