If I can derail this thread for a minute: Puck, periods don't cost money. Totally free. Try using them. If the 'Stang isn't in running shape, you're probably going to get fuck-all for it even with mods. If it's only a grand to finish it so the engine turns over, put in the cash. Chances are good that it'll cost more than that, but again, if you try to sell it as-is you're just hoping to find the one guy who you can sucker into spending 1K less than "running price". Starting a project like this, you have to account for cost creeps like this. After it's running and you still have the itch, I'd ditch it. If you're already got the trackday gear, finding a turn-key trackday bike here or on WERA isn't that hard, if that's what you're into.

If replacement stockies are not available (or too expensive) you might want to consider picking up a pair of Alth front rotors. I bought my 03 with the knowledge that the front rotor was slightly warped, and picked up a set of Alth's from oncycles.com for about 180 all-in. Great performance. Just checked oncycles and they are sold out of the Honda's (just Yamahahahas and Kawi's) but I'm sure someone else has got them somewhere.

Especially in the instance of the OSP trooper, the entire point of this is the penalty was a double-standard. You can't tell me with a straight face that if a civilian were doing 90 over the speed limit, they wouldn't be cited and charged with reckless driving, leading to probable license suspensions of 6 months or more. This guy gets a 5-day suspension and reassignment somewhere quiet? The guy that flaunted protocol by turning off his microphone during the stop gets off? Screw that. Sure they make a mistake, but no mistake justifies a double standard.

If your employer sees that you recently got a ticket for 90 OVER the speed limit and your job involved driving a company vehicle every day, yes, I'm positive they'd send you home and for a hell of a lot longer than 90 days. However, at least this guy had to live for 90 days without pay. The good ol' boy trooper just got reassigned to Marysville, probably just outside the commotion this was causing in Columbus, and given a 5-day slap and probation.
