I would have taken the Akra, but the 05's are different than the 03's. Will the G-Craft reservoir mount on 03 stock rearsets? I'm having a hell of a time taking the tail off and on, if I can relocate that reservoir to just above the master cylinder that would save me a ton of work. One more thing: How did the wheels fare in the crash? My front or rear (can't recall right now) has a bend in the bead from where someone tried to pry a tire off too hard. If they fit, and your wheels are good, would you consider a swap? I would have no problem heading up there to do it. Sorry to hear about the wreck, I just had to part with my Katana as well.

Speedbleeders will cost you just as much as the vac tool. I couldn't have done my brakes without them. I was able to do them both on my own, as long as you have the hose positioned in the catch can to catch the fluid, you can just keep pumping the brakes and topping off the reservoir. Speedbleeders have a check valve that eliminates air coming back into the system.

Welcome, I miss my old Kat. If you need any help wrenching that thing, I used to have a 02 before it met a guardrail (and I'm one of the reasons why Katanas are banned from Coshocton) and learned a ton of stuff off that bike. I can also give you a hand on light placement. Believe me, you do not want to put conventional neon bars on a sportbike. The placement themselves will drive you insane. LED's are the way to go.

I'm in, just re-re-wired the integrated rear light. I love working for manufacturing firms, I now have enough connectors to make 10 6-wire wire harnesses, and all the wire and terminations to go with them.

Not to mention dumping a 250 at the trail end of the riding season (for someone who would buy a Ninja 250) is a recipe for losing money. If there was any way in hell to hold onto it until April, I can see getting almost a grand more for it with the pent-up demand. Erick, house offer still stands.
