Uganda is Rwanda is Zimbabwe is Somalia is Nigeria is Ivory Coast is Liberia (up til 2003), etc., etc. The problems are inherent to the culture of most of the sub-Saharan African nations. Sure, every nation is a little different, but at the end of the day they seem to employ all the same tactics, children solders, morphing from resistance force to abandoning all rules and committing genocide and war crimes, etc. Throwing money at a dubious charity to "fix" this problem isn't going to do anything but make some dude in the US or Europe or wherever this thing is based richer while he tosses a small percentage of your donation at the "cause", just enough to remain labelled a charity, or get gobbled up by the first military force it finds and never find its way to the general populace. I offer up as an example the charity of Yele Haiti, the shenaniganry of which can be found here You want to donate to a good charitable organization? Go to donorschoose.org, help out some kids. Or doctorswithoutborders.org, and help out medical professionals on the front lines in those countries. Or charitynavigator.org and find a reputable one your damn self. Believe me, my bleeding-heart commie pinko librul heart feels for the people in these African nations, but the reality is they've been at this shit for decades. Sure, European colonialism didn't do a whole lot for their national identity and national self-esteem, but they've had plenty of time to unfuck themselves and pull a nation together. Others in the area have done it just fine.
