The problem with UC's scholarships: You have to 1) Compete against other people in person, not just on record/history - I'm a very shy/introverted individual. I basically sucked at human interaction coming out of high school. 2) It favors writers. - A large portion of the competition is how well you write an essay, on the spot, in like 90 minutes. Unknown topic. I basically suck at writing if I don't have time to prepare for the topic.

Hrrrm. Well. I'll be parting out my 500r. I've been looking for a bike to turn into a project. Looking at a Bandit 600 soon that is pretty sound except the 2nd gear shift fork (the middle one) Is essentially a shift spoon now. Hoping to pick it up cheap and fix the trans before new years. Should be able to get it for less than $750 (has new tires, brakes, forks seal/oil, chain, sprocket). We'll see though.

I'm a college student at UC (engineering). We CoOp every other quarter. So I'm working 8-5 through the week. Well. I'm gonna need some more cash if I want to make it through the rest of my schooling without more student loans. What's a good second job? I realize there's better places to ask but, what's the OR take on coming up with cash? Caveat: I will not pay for bartending school. Sure I'd love to make the money they do but I'm not willing to put 600 into it and not be able to secure a good gig.

Agreed, He made one hell of a show from nothing. He's a great actor/comedian. I think NBC made the right move on not signing Jay again. Conan, I like him. His early shows were rough but he pulled through and I like his comedic environment far more. I'm still hoping Jimmy Fallon will improve his show. He is a funny guy overall but for late night his skits and stuff just don't do it for me.
