agreed...and it's got some wear and flaws and you'd still have to do the IMS fix...but it's a wide body C4s which has some appeal.
-
There's a 100k mile C4s on Rennlist right now for $19k.

I've found with credit unions that if your credit score is high enough and you're not asking to borrow more than the car is worth they'll gladly finance anything. You will pay a premium on interest rates and may have to do a shorter term but that's likely to play in your favor anyhow. It's not horrible penalties but it's probably 1-1.5 points if I remember correctly.

We did this one with a group of friends and then my wife took her team there for a team building event. Nothing but good things to say about the experience. I've done two of them in Pittsburgh as team building as well that were less challenging and not as well thought out as the one here in town.

Sucks to see. I used to be really emotional about things that happened to my car until I got older and wiser and realized stuff happens. Make sure it gets fixed and fixed and fixed well.

"Crash and Burn" - CC&C showing at AMC Lennox thurs 4/27

Tommy's story is a really good one, and he's every bit the character you'd expect him to be esp if you get a few beers in him. He's probably one of the greatest talents that never made it because he didn't want to play political games. A couple years ago we did an advanced instructor clinic and had Tommy speak. One of the old farts who moved onto spec Miata keep asking what a driver should do differently to get the most out of a momentum car. Tommy's response in a rather annoyed tone: "they're all momentum cars...drive the right line and you will be fast." -
+1 as well as hours on motor, diameter of chassis tubing as well please. (30, 32) I'm about to pull the trigger on a kart in Indy but deal isn't done yet.

It's not nearly as inexpensive as it used to be, but in the grand scheme of things it's still relatively cheap. We were there a couple weeks ago and I was pricing Vegas, Miami, Chicago and or NYC for the same time period and the choice was easy to go to Cancun instead.

I get where you're going with this and pretty much agree, but GT2 was a bad example as it's pretty hard core when it comes to 911's and known as "The Widow Maker" for a reason.

He was the biggest surprise last season...he's actually pretty good and knows his stuff

Anyone watching it? I've enjoyed the first two episodes quite a bit. They got rid of the shouty red head guy, they got rid of Sabine, who I love but is horrible on camera, and they got rid of Eddie Jordan. What's left is Chris Harris (my favorite automotive journalist) , Joey from Friends and Rory Ried. They're still struggling a little bit for chemistry but it's way better and much more like the show of old. I don't think you'll ever get the chemistry of the trio that is now Grand Tour but Top Gear has made a turn in the right direction and now has the presenters it should have had last year.

Not necessarily a bad thing since most people don't understand how these products should be used and cause more harm than good with them.

Joined. Curious, how is this being marketed outside of CR?

They said...what could we do to build the ultimate modern technology yellow bird tribute and knocked it out of the park. It looks funny because it's wider and bigger than it should be for that era car but it's what they've done under the skin that's amazing to me. Complete carbon monocoque chassis Carbon body 2600 lbs Carbon ceramic brakes Redesigned chassis to integrate double wishbone suspension Inboard mounted pushrod activated coilovers (look at some of this in detail it's really impressive) 700hp Mezger Rear drive It's going to be epic.

+1. Joe - I think the instructor you had for Exotics racing was FANTASTIC. Everything he said was spot on, he kept emphasizing where to look, being easy on the inputs, braking in a straight line, balancing the car with brakes and throttle, touching the paint for proper car placement...he really was MUCH better than I'd expect to get in that setting. at PCA events we've got a little more time to go over some of that stuff in detail so it doesn't all get condensed into one speech before we got out but once on the track it's a constant flow of information just like the instructor in your video. We basically try to make a cadence that is consistent lap after lap. By the end of the weekend we want the student to be able to speak it back to us as he's performing the actions instead of relying on us to keep saying the message over and over again. You'd be amazed how many still can't do it at the end of their first weekend. The end goal is to get everyone to subconsciously walk through that same cadence every single lap they drive without even thinking about it. It's good practice every once in awhile to say it out loud as a reminder for anything you might be forgetting. It's a highly effective practice even when muscle memory has taken over

if it's tri-coat as was suggested earlier in this thread that is not something you want to attempt as your first experience with painting.

No joke, I googled "Horrible Corvette Paint Scheme" and got this http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu31/roscott69/Paint%20Schemes/TwoToneCorvette01-1-2.jpg

I can't wait to hear this when complete. I had Matt make me an exhaust for my GT3 that sounds like no other. I get asked at every track day where I got my exhaust and how people can duplicate the sound!!! I have no doubts this will be even more intriguing than anything he has made to date.

Cup Car is good, not as much power as many others but tons of grip to make up for it. Want to buy the GTO Audi too!!!

WWCRD - Selling the Caddy, need a DD. (Draco loses his mind)

The car he linked is a c4s which is most definitely AWD unless they ripped out the front diff for no good reason. C4s is the one to have in AWD as it has full turbo wide body, bumpers etc just in. NA package. -
I distinctly remember when Sterling Marlin showed up in the mid 90's at Daytona with these headers and it was the talk of the 500 that year. Car sounded awesome and if memory serves he even won that year. Excited to continue to follow this.

I mean...I have a couple of small mufflers in there, but it's loud. It's funny because 103db is fairly lax compared to some tracks but I know cars that have busted sound that i thought would have cleared 103 just fine. Can guarantee I won't clear even if I pedal it. Was really hoping there could be a few un-restricted days like you get at some of the other tracks with restrictions...shame I'd like to drive it too. Grant - SOL if you bust sound.
-
will sound restrictions be in place?

My truck only had the 2 small inspection holes not a full cover either which is why it too me so long to finally find the issue with my flex plate. If you have that inspection camera it might be the ticket. I pulled my starter at one point too and still wasn't certain until it really broke free...while I was 500 miles from home....pulling the track car on a trailer. :-(

I've had Grado's in the past and they are amazing but i ended up selling them because open air just doesn't work for me....actually now that I have an office and could close my door I may get another pair. I have a pair of ATH M50x that sit on my desk that I listen to at work. They really are my favorite pair of headphones ever but they are a little on the heavy and clunky side which is why they tend to stay on my desk where I enjoy them most. Oddly enough my gym pair of headphones is the old standard Bose Triports that I've had for years. Not my favorite sounding pair of headphones but not really off the mark by far either. I'm not a big Bose fan but these really do fit best for this use cause i won't wear ear buds. My wife was looking for a good but economical bluetooth headphone recently and I bought her a set of Hifi Elite wireless headphones based off of rave reviews on cnet and other various sources. I thought Amazon was actually private labeling them for awhile but I don't see that now. In either case for $60 I guarantee she'd be happy with the setup. they are tuned to be bass heavy like beats which most people are leaning towards anyhow these days. I actually forgot my headphones at the gym last week and wore these instead and almost bought another pair they are THAT good for $60. https://www.amazon.com/Noise-Isolating-Over-Ear-Wireless-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B016JBZ4CW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483539721&sr=8-1&keywords=hifi+elite
