  1. I saw one of these on the outerbelt a couple months ago with big wheels on it and lowered, sounded good too like possibly had exhaust I too, had to do a double take to figure out exactly what it was.
  2. Ha...I may need to pick this one up http://www.redbubble.com/people/deadmooserunner/works/14145761-porsche-poorish-white-on-color?p=t-shirt&ref=work_carousel_work_portfolio_1
  3. I caught the spelling at first but I didn't catch right away that it had the mustang logo on it. I think my brother found it online and ordered it this morning.
  4. Ferrari Parody. Some great subtle stuff in here that makes it comedy gold.
  5. I think "stretch...to a degree" needs to be defined a little better for a performance perspective. Never more than ~ 1/2 inch in a performance / road racing type of situation. You're trying to stiffen the sidewall even more to avoid any deflection if at all possible. In looking at this on a wheel they're more than likely going to look pretty neutral as you describe above. I'll see if I can take a picture of what I mean this evening my street tire rears might even be a better example. 295 on an 11" wheel is the factory wheel / tire setup on the rear of the GT3 (.6 inch wider wheel than tire). Also remember an 11" wheel is 11" wide at the bead and even wider at the wheel lip. **edit if you actually look at the sig picture of my car at Mid Ohio you can see the 295 on an 11" wheel at full deflection. Still some deflection but minimized.** Tom's (POS VET) laid out the benefits pretty well.
  6. Pour this on the controller...all will be good. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v46/doleted/Hot%20Tub%20Time%20Machine/Chernobly1.png
  7. +1 Drag racers typically only care about contact patch and welcome a little sidewall deflection so bigger is better for them. Auto-x guys actually do the same but only because they are limited, in stock classes, to stock wheel dimensions but not tire size. They deal with the sidewall deflection differently and make it work for them. Track guys prefer stretch to a certain extent. Obviously you can go too far and make it unsafe but the wider the wheel the better the shape and consistency of the contact patch of the tire. For instance on the GT3, on the front of the car I run a 235 on a 9" wheel. If you read Michelin and other tire manufacturers tech articles they prefer stretch...again to a degree. But there's always stuff that any automotive enthusiast will do for looks as well without considering performance at all. I ran 225's on an 8.5" wheel on the Audi because that car was low enough to tuck tires and would rub like crazy with anything bigger on it.
  8. Wife and I just finished a bulk...cut starts next Monday and I can't wait. I did manage to gain 6lbs of muscle in this bulk so I "did work" I suppose. need to cut the fat and get in shape for track season.
  9. Happy wife = Happy Life. Push up bra or whatever might fix it for what the rest of the world sees but not for what she sees. You can't put a price on a woman's happiness and self confidence esp for a deserving wife and mother of children. If the kids hurt her body and she wants it back, as long as it's not out of your means do whatever it takes. Same for my wife, cancer hurt her body and there wasn't going to be anything getting in the way of me getting it as close as possible to what she remembered. The first time around she just wanted them though...I got cars, she got boobs...I won on both accounts. 10 years is pretty much standard issue for replacement period. $7500 or whatever it is these days spread over 10 years is well worth it.
  10. Dr. Robert Heck @ Columbus Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery. My wife is on set #4 now I think between the various BS she's been through for the cancer, She had implants before cancer from a different Dr (Christine Sullivan) and Heck's work is better than before and he didn't have much to work with after she had a bi-lateral Mastectomy. Working with very little tissue he took the time to do alot of pocket work to make them fantastic and give her some confidence back. Get Silicone, get under the muscle, go to Dr. Heck. //end thread
  11. sorry, yes And if you look at his post he openly admits he's at about the best ideal conditions he could have had for the run. Still impressive none the less considering the car did like 7.1 on 93 pump
  12. 1000lb injectors. Don't think he upgraded the pump. He has GT2 intercoolers and silicone hoses. IDK what he has for exhaust http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/997-turbo-gt2/358472-6-02-sec-60-130-stock-turbos-e85-cobb-ptf-tuned.html oh...and no way the stock clutch will hold that much power. Every time I put race gas in our car and switch to the race gas tune I worry the clutch is going to start slipping unless it's been replaced already and I don't know about it. I found a few other interesting bits on our car after it got home like Champion intercoolers and champion silicone hoses it's got all of the parts on there to support big power...but it's good enough for now
  13. I'd guess more for tuning / tweaking / checking of components between runs. Have to pull the rear bumper to do just about anything back there. This car is impressive, but equally impressive is a 997.1 with the Stock VTG turbo's just posted a 6.0x 60-130 run on a cobb E85 tune.
  14. all I ask is leave me out of this...I let him drive home on my tags and still need to get them back from him. P.S. he said the stalling issue was actually the fuel pump not the crank sensor and it's already been fixed. That was going to be the next part in the equation that I fixed but in the end it was just time for it to go and for me to stop spending time and money on it.
  15. Younger kid, wouldn't say he was a dick but he was pretty matter of fact. It's the beauty of craigslist I guess. I had it advertised on a couple local forums at what I thought was fair. I threw it up on craigslist shooting for the stars and got $600 more than I was asking here within 10 hrs of posting it. If he can turn a profit then have at it.
  16. More power to him. I got more than I wanted for it, if he can make more on it I'm not gonna hate on the guy.
  17. Been down that road before...I'm not winning that battle. Last time we got her a car it was my money and I was pissed about the fact she didn't take care of it so I took it away which was a less than popular decision with my wife. This time around it's her dime, I'm just trying to help her spend it as effectively as possible.
  18. Yeah...dreaming about next track toy. Problem is 360 challenge has been going drastically up not down in value the last few years which is making them harder and harder to justify...and they're really not any faster than my GT3 from a lap time perspective. Gallardo could be a substitute for the 997TT...but, as you state, I'd have to search for a 6 speed like posted here not an e-gear car in the Gallardo
  19. I have "a thing" for gallardo's. Can't put my finger on it but would really love to own one. Next car on my list is 360 challenge or 430 Scud.
  20. +1. Come on out and learn to be safe and fast.
  21. Dumb ...kidding man. I too have found myself drawn to this build and enjoying it every step of the way. Keep up the good work
  22. If I remember the story correctly it was after he had closed up one night and was on the way to the bank with the nightly bank drop. I' ve met him, did some detailing work for him and even watched an F1 race at his place before. Don't have a problem with him personally but he seems to be very good at rubbing some the wrong way.
  23. good straight line comparison. Neither appeared to be poorly driven but not driven that well either. 2:29 @ COTA is not a particularly fast lap for a car with that much power
  24. Thought it was non-lethal. Could be wrong.
