  1. I drove a P85....didn't really change my opinion on the car. There were some things I liked more than I thought I would, some I liked less but overall I didn't walk away wanting one. I'm glad I had the opportunity to drive one, I respect what they've done with it, I have no issues the car just isn't for me.
  2. While the C7 has grown on some I actually like it less the more I see of it I've been UNderwhelmed by the performance of the c51 cars I e seen set the track. The z06 will be a beast however and no matter the argument for or against it, will be a fantastic bang for the buck performer Different strokes for different folks. I like my d-bag car(s). There was a recent Jalopnik review of a GT3 where the guy makes fun of GT3 owners. It's sadly very accurate.
  3. They were out in force today, probably a doze. People runnin around with covert t-shirts on. All hard parked not participating...in a free auto-x

  5. Not necessarily a depreciating asset if you buy the right car.
  6. not to derail this more...but some of this conversation is comical to me. Unless you are the sole contributing income in your relationship major purchases should be a joint decision. My wife is a major contributor to our household income...as such she gets a say in what we do or do not purchase. She was the one that actually wanted the Turbo I wanted to save 20k and buy something a little more reasonable. We have a rule...if it's over $500 we discuss a purchase before it's made.
  7. So back on topic....I'm looking for good E46 M3 vert examples for you but after reading this thread, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, I'm not sure it's the right fit. Going to have to be a car you drive and decide for yourself.
  8. Like all modern limited edition Porsche's...they just keep going up in value. It'd be a good investment!!! Good ones are at the 500k mark now. "cheap" ones are around 350
  9. I love me some V8's and I'm head over heals over most v12's...but Carrera GT is quite possibly the best sounding car ever ...let the argument continue as we spiral off topic from Casey's thread.
  10. They wouldn't replace my battery because I had a small crack in my screen. Ordered from amazon and replaced myself in less than 10 min.
  11. Sad indeed, she was a damn funny lady
  12. vastly different driving abilities is the problem with this video
  13. As a track rat I love the concept of a high hp cayman but I'm disappointed it's a turbo car. None the less it'll be amazing and since it is a turbo car it'll make 550hp pretty easily given what will be left on the table from the factory.
  14. I don't think enough people realize how special the 914/6 is. We are talking about a car that's 43-45 years old now so the 3000 units are mostly gone these days However, Porsche does a better job than most of producing low production special edition cars. 914/6 is pretty far down the list of Porsche's for me. Look at a modern limited edition as a perfect example. Byers has a paint to sample orange 2011 GT3 RS 4.0 right now at an asking price of $400k. One of 6xx total 4.0's. One of 1xx paint to sample cars and one of 3 in orange. Car new was around $240k. 3 years later and 2500 miles later it'll trade $150k more than new and the value will only continue to go up.
  15. I've been a big fan of the lather masters line lately. Leatherique if it's neglected and needs restored.
  16. No gold, no black. If you are selling the car get silver as it will appeal to most everyone.
  17. He mentions that "he thought" time off around those times had already been discussed. So the question is, is it noted anywhere in your policies that you can't take those days off of those days will specifically require approval in order to be taken off? ...other than the e-mail he sent AFTER your request. Not sure I'd be very happy if they made up rules after the fact, but if they were laid out previously I'd eat the flight cost and just work.
  18. Birdie told me alignment didn't happen today but that it did show up and leave under it's own power.
