  1. I"m with you Tim. I've never signed up for it and don't intend to.
  2. That was only in the Best Motoring video's out of Japan.
  3. I know I have better images at home of them, but these aren't bad and what I've got available at the moment http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/user2153_pic5238_1309566904.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/092.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/CRRollingPictures095copy.jpg
  4. I feel it's my duty to bump this up because of the following. I had a client that gave me a bottle of Glenmorangie 18 as a tip for detailing his car for him. This is a bottle that wasn't even on my radar, probably would have never tried this if he wouldn't have given it to me. I have to say this one is instantly one may very well be my new favorite scotch even over my coveted Royal Salute. Fairly reasonably priced, 18 year, lots of fruit hints in there, great full taste without being harsh in the least. Super Smooth. http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-7401.aspx
  5. Scott, nice grab, really like the new car esp the color. Enjoy it man! I'm with Farkas in that Stanced Miata's are HOT!!! I've seen numerous guys with stanced miata's that show up at the track, remove the agressive fitting street wheels, mount sticky track tires in conventional fitment and set blistering lap times (for a miata). It's obviously not for everyone but I enjoy the look as long as it's not TOO extreme This one is a little extreme but I love it. http://www.stanceworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_4000.jpg
  6. ha, nope, 10 year anniversary with that car is coming up in a few months. I'm kinda attached.
  7. I hear Audi's are horrible cars that don't last http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvjsasDbSY1qm4no6.gif
  8. You can run that much wheel / tire with a proper drop? Depressing almost, I rub the sidewalls off 235 tires in the rear depending on the make of tire on my car, that's on an 8.5" wheel.
  9. Even though they mention it in the descriptions to only slow to around the 10mph mark, never really "stop" despite the fact that word is sometimes used More aggressive pads will require higher speeds to get them up to operating temp but what was posted above should work for you
  10. for the F1 fans, I saw a comment referencing this asking if T. Sato was in Japan this past weekend. ...it was funny to me at least.
  11. +1 on diverter valve upgrade being a good thing. I upgraded to the factory 225hp TT model on my A4 some time ago and I think it needs replaced again. FWIW I'm usually VERY attentive to maintenance things but didn't do my fuel filter until 150k miles and never had an issue. Ran no different after
  12. +1 It's this one, smallest 5hp unit on the market, has wheels, can be drug around by the hose without worrying about damaging the hose, more power in a small package than anythign I've found to date. Usually get 1.5-2 years out of them easily using it ALL THE TIME which means for normal use it should last you a very long time. http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hardware-Wet-Dry-Vacuums/h_d1/N-5yc1vZb8pi/h_d2/Navigation?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 Only other thing I'd suggest is a wall mount canister unit if you're just using it for your cars. Mount it on the wall near your cars in the garage, they generally come with like a 20ft hose on them and are very convenient. Problem is they are a little spendy and they're wall mounted so you can only vacuum cars in the garage, with the rigid I can take it in the house and do the floors if I want then put it right back in the grage or wherever. 13. Is the budget still $30k or less, or you've thrown that out the window to get into a mid size sports sedan? Maybe my comprehension sucks but I think Jones is right he's OK with sliding on the budget in order to get into a nicer sports sedan. 335 and S4 variations are great sports sedans but NOT mid size, rear seat room in both sucks particularly the Audi. If the 30k budget stands my first thought here was E60 535 with a tune. Easily fits in the budget, can be had with stick if you look hard enough, gets the same power figures as 335 with tune (350-400hp) and only weighs like 150lbs more while providing much more rear seat room. If you really don't want to be bored and there is no 30k budget used E60 M5 would be my choice. I'd list E55's and E63's but they're horribly boring cars to drive unless you're going fast in a straight line, V10- Audi S6 would get honerable mention here. Newer CTS-V is a clear stand out in this category as well and can't be ignored, just not my cup-o-tea.
  14. can you even go around turns fast with ET Street's on the rear? Guess you could always throw Kuhmo's on the rear but if memory serves ET streets have such a soft sidewall I wouldn't want to put a ton of side load on them anyhow...and if that's the case and you intend to keep running those rear tires then better coilovers would be useless in it's current configuration.
  15. It was mentioned earlier in this thread but give Royal American a call. We got married in the Keys and paid for the whole deal ourselves and were not planning on having a reception back here in Ohio due to the costs of having a second event after we were already drained financially from the wedding / reception down in FL. My parents stepped up and threw us a reception here, did everything at Royal American and it was VERY nice for no more money than it was. Can't remember the exact figure but I want to say something like $25-30 a head (7 years ago).
  16. I vote use the money on seat / track time
  17. Big brakes are a great bling factor, but toatlly useless unless on the street and many times heavier than your OEM application increasing unsprung rotational mass in the process. They will not reduce stopping distance vs. your OEM brakes unless you're pounding them lap after lap on the track where the heat resistance is the biggest factor. Get performance pads if you want more initial bite on the street, but tires will be your limiting factor as to how quickly you can stop on the street 99% of the time. I vote (good) coilovers
  18. As much as I hate Craigslist I just sold my extra set of A4 wheels on Craigslist within a week and for full asking price
  19. Synthetic always. That's likely a contributing factor to my beater getting to 200k in the first place.
  20. Tough to tell from the picture but looks like velocity motoring CSL reps, they make them for a number of applications. Attractive wheel.
  21. Congrats Rich. Yellow is the fastest color
  22. I was in the same boat about 1.5 years ago. To me Canon and Nikon were the only brands to look at as others have stated. I decided to go Canon becasue my good friend shoots with one and additional lenses seemed to be a bit cheaper. The model I got was the Rebel XS, very literally their cheapest, entry level unit. Honestly it's a great fit for me, I never really progressed with my photography to the point where I felt I needed any more. I also never got as serious about my photography as I could have as the passion faded a bit after initial use. I have 3 lenses, external flash, tripod, etc and the camera does everything I ever wanted it to do. Think the camera itself was right aroudn $520 when I got it. Andy
