  1. E46 M3 meets all the criteria and is the quickest, best handling, best braking, best everything performance of all the cars you list.
  2. Looks like a nice, clean example. Paint the hood so that when it sits around still being broke it's at least easier on the eyes ....kidding aside, keep the rotary. My brother's (smokey) flies even on the stock twins.
  3. I have proper HID projector housings for them. But my housings are e-codes (european spec) which pisses people off on the freeway at night when I pass them ( The cut-off for the beam throws light up a good bit to the right of the car but not in front. blinding people in their mirriors when you pass on the left).
  4. Which DDM kit is everyone using? The Regular kit which has external ignitors or the slim kit? The philips units on my car are all one unit, guess the ignitor wouldn't be too hard to mount though.
  5. How do you tell good from bad these days. Market is flooded with junk $35 kits on eBay but I'm having a tough time telling if a lot of the "nicer" kits are really any better than the junk I got a top of the line kit nearly 10 years ago now. Philips ballasts and Osram Xenarc bulbs. Big money back it was a great product Last year a a bulb finally went out so I replaced the bulbs with a a middle of the road bulb. I constantly have issues with them staying lit lately and light output is very bad these days. In all fairness this could be the ballasts finally giving up though Finally the adhesive on one of the ballasts fails, ballast falls off the car and I run over it leaving the neighborhood. Despite my bulbs being only about a year old I think it's time for a whole new kit. Don't want to spend a million bucks ( car does have 200k miles) but don't want junk either Andy
  6. Tuna, Turkey, whole grain Pita's, fruit, nuts, protein bars, protein shakes (bring in powder and make in break room), Reading this I'm sure you'd think that I"m fit but I"m not. If I wasn't disciplined with what I eat during the day I'd be a train wreck. I probably average about $4-5 a day on food BUT I eat 4 small snack / meals while I'm at work, stay full, have variety and again contain total intake.
  7. Detailer from NY didn't come through on the purchase? When I talked to him on the phone he seemed all in. All, This car is VERY nice. Don't tell my wife its for sale cause she loves this thing. Andy
  8. My wife texted me about this while we were at the track yesterday. I watched it when I got home. For those wondering what happened leading up to the crash, Marco low sided the bike but instead of letting go and throwing the bike away he held on and tried to save it. The tires regained enough traction to shoot the bike back across the track but not stand it back up thus putting him right in the path of the on-coming riders. If you watch the video pretty close Edwards hit him pretty square in the back but it was Rossi's bike that got him right in the head ripping the helmet off and likely doing the worst of the damage. RIP Marco. despite being controversial there was no denying the kid (24) had huge levels of talent.
  9. What are you missing from the STi that your not getting from the boxster?
  10. Welcome from a fellow E55 owner. I think there's like 4-5 of them floating around here now. Andy
  11. 16 x 7 et45 5x112. OEM wheels off of B5 A4. Not amazing condition, not bad either. Straight and true. Would make a great set of winter wheels for someone to throw snow tires on. Fits various VAG cars. All 4 center caps accounted for and included. $140 Wheel 1 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=656&pictureid=5619 Wheel 2 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=656&pictureid=5620 Wheel 3 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=656&pictureid=5621 Wheel 4 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=656&pictureid=5622 Andy
  12. Really just depneds on the level of solvent you're dealing with. Obviously gas and E85 are going to be pretty darn strong. WD-40 or the like is still strong but not horribly. NO matter what make sure you clean the surface and wax when finished and don't let any solvent dwell on the surface of the paint TOO long as it can cause damage.
  13. Does this game have a realistic feel to it or is it more of a game? Last thing I need right now is something to take up even more of my time this winter other than iRacing, but I have a PS3 and own only one game for the thing...just bought it for GT5 which was a bit of a letdown to be honest. Physics in the game just aren't up to snuff by today's standards. Graphics are amazing though.
  14. I download the Trance Around the World podcast every week and listen to it while I detail cars (need ear protection from the buffers anyhow). I can't get enough of their broadcasts. Sad thing is I'm not a huge fan of Above and Beyond's artist albums but their podcast is the shit.
  15. pictures of the 930. PM me details and pictures of the M5.
  16. Since clay didn't work try in this order. - Nail Polish remover - Paint thinner If the chemicals don't work you'll need to step up to a paint polish or something abrasive to try that next. Preferably by machine but by hand could work too as long as it's not a really agressive compound. Finally if all of the above doesn't work 4000 grit works wonders for overspray and doesn't mess up the paint THAT badly. Obviously if you get to this point it's going to need to be followed by multiple stages of paint polishing.
  17. custom paint or standard color that could be mixed up easily? Does it need new fenders and lights to run this headlight? http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture921.jpg
  18. This. The product you're looking for is called Bumper Plugs. But what farkas described is basically all that they are.
  19. I'd be happy if I could snag a box of Liga #9's at that price but I doubt that would happen either.
  20. I'm still not sure this thread is serious. I swear I saw your car...in it's original configuration in the Walmart parking lot on 23 last night. The maroon / black hood is what caught my attention.
  21. This one made me LOL...I nearly spit up my Hazelnut coffee I drink every morning
  22. 360's and 430's are "cheaper" to maintain on over the previous 355's which were notorious for a 5 figure service every 30k miles. That's because you couldn't even change the drive belts on the damn things without removing the whole engine and rear cradle / suspension. but an absolute bargain basement 430 is still $120k, more reasonble cars are 140-150k. 360's are getting cheaper but not the good ones. I have dreams of owning a 360 Challenge Stradale in a few years but they've been stuck at $130k for nearly the last two years. Not sure they're going to go far enough down for me to really get one. Oh..and my GT3 will perform on every level with the 360 CS. http://www.tangcla.com/photos/eurotrash_081025/images/IMG_7761.jpg
