Headed back to the islands soon and trying to decide what to bring back with me this time. There's always some really interesting offerings to be had. May just get another bottle of Chivas Royal Salute. Suprised more of you here haven't tried it. I've had a few more pours of the Glenlivet 25 year my wife got me for Christmas recently too, it really reminds me of Macallen 18 in that it has a TON of flavor, soo much going on there it's a different experience each time. Another one of those I'm not sure it's really worth the money but it's very good none the less. Can't ever let the french oak run out though! I have 2 bottles of it on hand currently.

While I agree that's a relatively true statement there are a few of us out there that actually know our way around a rotary and how to correctly operate one, few and far between though these days.

+1, worth a watch if you even remotely follow motor racing. My wife even enjoyed it and came home researching the events surrounding his death even more. If that's not a sell I don't know what is. Andy

Kale, I think something important you left out was that this was your first time ever doing a track day. You really did well out there and showed enough to your instructor to get moved up a run group on your very first day. I know you auto-x regularly which helps but you really did very well out there. Couple general observations. You seem a little worked up at points ESP right before the spin. Deep breath on each straight along with a finger stretch on the wheel will force you to think about relaxing. You can see your inputs get more abrupt and your shoulders even coming forward. It's exciting stuff out there you just need reminders to relax and have fun a couple times per lap Technical stuff: You're solid up to t7 Use all the road on exit of turn 7 and stay out there. 8 is a throw away turn so maximize all the speed you can get out of 7 and you'll get quite a run up the inside of 8 T8 need to be up on the inside curb and be there early. Need to be on the power and unwinding the wheel and tracking out before you get over the top of the hill. Track out at least half way there. Your pinching the exit costing speed and you'll eventually risk spinning if you keep that much input on the wheel T9 is good try to use the inside curb to rotate the car this is the one place it's ok to not use all the road on exit. You should be able to be full throttle from here until the entry for t11 10b. Don't use that inside curb. You want to be about a half lane wide of the apex curbing here as it gives you a straight shot to the turn in point for 11. There's a faint black box on the road here you want to straggle coming down the hill. I'm going to disagree with other comments on the entry to t11. Mid Ohio school specifically preaches to stay off that outside curb. It upsets the car too much if your near the limit T12. Again use all the road on exit. There's dirt past the exit curb that is the real end of track out. No need to go back left for the entry to 13 ...but all of this will come in time. If you ask me you killed it out there for it being your first time

Let me know what you're thinking. I've been booked nearly a month out since April. Sounds like you're looking down the road anyhow. Shoot me a PM for more info. [quote name=Antwon ] Andy, do you do boats? In general no but mainly because they don't really fit my business model. PM me info on it, the current condition and what you're looking to have done and maybe we can work something out.

Scott, Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad I was able to get it cleaned up for you. Andy

This works too. As long as he's got a bill of sale for the car he can use existing tags and if he gets pulled over state he's going to transfer to the new car during registration when he gets hom. I believe you have 30 days to transfer tags that way. I was pulled over in my brother's M3 just after he purchased it. He had the tags from his Talon on it and though they wanted to see a bill of sale and run the VIN to make sure the car was not stolen he had no other issues with the tag being on there. ...or just ask the current owner if you can drive back on their tags. Done that twice now with no objections from the previous owner.

I can look at it for you if you want. PM me.

PG3's are OG M3 wheels, Love that look. Bearing recall done I assume? Valve adjustments ? Mileage(s) - assuming it's been done at least twice now.

I have basically the same setup as you and went through the same decision on flash. I wanted to keep my whole setup relativly cheap but I ended up going with the 430 and I'm glad I did. The ability to turn the 430 to not just the sides but fire it behind you allows you to bouce the light off of whatever light source you choose and really makes a difference. Either will really help in low light situations though.

There seems to be more and more exceptions to this lately.

Is the Casino going to be a smoke free environment?

Vince, headed out the door at the moment but I'll shoot you a PM later. Andy

Late to this thread, Here's what I'd do personally. Build the car suspension wise out just like a spec miata. IIRC the whole suspension setup can be had for not TOO much money, no, it's not totally cheap either but here's my thoughts on this. You used to race carts correct? Say you really get back into going left and right and auto-x leaves something to be desired. You've already got the suspension under the car to make it legal in the event you eventually want to work up to racing with the thing. Also all the guess work is already taken out of setting up the car, that setup has evolved slightly over the years but it's a proven formula to make the cars work and do it with a simple recipe. With the car still in full street trim / weight the suspension will be a little stiff but not like when the car's gutted. That's the route I'd go with it.

YESSSSSSSS...MOAR!

Glad it worked out Jason, I wanted to buy it myself but we just got my mother-in-law a car and I'm already out of space to put cars so I'm glad I could pass along that deal to you. I'm sure it will be put to good use. Andy

having two cars with and two cars without I can tell you that I think the stuff is great. I should have applied to the Audi LONG ago before the front got totally fucked by 200k miles of driving. Personally paint work makes me uneasy, esp on bumpers with all of those crazy tight areas that are very difficult to sand and polish the way they're delivered from the factory. In my eyes once you decide to paint the car will never be the same again except in very rare situations where you find those amazing paint guys that are few and far between. If you parked my 10 yr old BMW next to my 12 year old Audi I think you too would take the yellowing clear bra on the white car over the busted ass looking front end of my Audi. Yes the Audi can be re-painted, but you can just pull the clear bra off of the BMW and it's factory fresh down there, no diminshed value from being painted, no worries of paint color mis-match, none of that. When I get old and decide to just rub it with a diaper and not drive it anymore I'll pull the clear bra off completely and enjoy looking at it in it's defect free state

Top gear USA is better this year, but the first few episodes were Just challenges with no other content. No road test of a supercar, no laps by the stig, no industry news, nothing. However they were much better than last year and actually enjoyable to watch. The car show is meh, content is better but overall the show is still lacking, Dan Neil (or whatever his name is) is actually very good at what he does and I enjoy his segments. The smoking tire guy is actually an enthusiastic car guy and you can tell he enjoys what he does. John Sally makes no sense to me and contributes very little to the show and Adam , despite being a gear head, bothers me...I think it's his delivery. Teaching hookers to drive stick or cramming as many girls into a mini as possible takes away from the show in my opinion. Just have them sand there and look pretty if you really feel the need to put some of the Man show into your new Car show. Or just focus on cars like the others and you'll need no reason to distract people from how bad the show is.

Well done, Lines are pretty good, in general that's all good for a DE setting, seems like you're being very cautious in a few sections leaving alot of time on the table. T1 In too slow, not quite enough steering angle at entry and always a few feet wide of where you should be. You want to late apex and nearly clip that inside curb after you've gone back to full throttle. T7 (or 3 or whatever the heck they call it on the pro course). Running the DE line which is cool, but if you use all of the road on exit and get a couple seconds of full throttle charging up the hill to the left hander you'll gain ALOT of time there. The left hander over the hill is throw away anyhow no matter how you setup for it so might as well get everything out of the corner before and the charge up to the left hander. You should be full throttle from the moment you exit the right hander coming up on the honda bridge until your braking zone for T11 (again I guess T7 in Pro configuration). Car will get light going over the raise which is why it's critical to have it already pointed in the right direction when you do so. My M3 would ever soo slightly spin the tires going over that raise but you could still keep your foot in it until the car came down went through compression as you made the slight right and setup for 11 / 7.

Senna Movie gets USA-wide release date - July 2011
AudiOn19s replied to Das Borgen's topic in Passing Lane
f seeing it on the big screen, I just want to see it period. Not a Netflix member so I missed the download, and as far as I understand the only copies on DVD that you can still currently find have regional coding on them and won't work unless you've got a means to hack the code with your player. I'd watch it on my phone if I could just get my hands on a working copy. -

didn't watch last night's episode, but I'm rocking out the White G-shock watch today just because I was "feelin" it.

p.s. My thoughts: Ferrari boys do it right. Schumacher has a girl's ferrari Heidfeld - both Yeah and Boo all at the same time. Rubens is old school cool.
