  1. There was a USMC drill instructor by the name of Sgt. Harry Bush. He did not have a sense of humor.
  2. Goldwings use alternators also. That's a better setup when you have lots of electro-whiz-gadgets that can be switched on/off.
  3. I like to keep my stuff pretty much stock. Usually better for relaibility, resale, etc. If you get too crazy with mods, something like this could happen  http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2015389377.html
  4. Alternators and stators accomplish the same task (pretty much), but the technology is different. Alternators are 'smart,' stators are 'dumb.' Alternators are heavier and use up more hp, that's why most bikes have stators. Here is a diagram to troubleshoot stators: http://www.rmstator.com/PDF/fault_finding.pdf
  5. Bump. Range is really good, it'll go 200 miles between fill ups.
  6. These are the kinds of signs that I'm wondering about. I'm getting requests to borrow money, but to keep it secret from the rest of the family...odd. Just got a higher paying job, but suddenly behind on all the bills. There is a history of gambling, before now it was less of a problem.
  7. I have a relative that I'm pretty sure has a gambling problem. Has anyone dealt with this or had a family member who had this addiction? What were the signs? What did you do about it?
  8. I don't think I could endure 250 miles at a HD pace. I'd have to stop and change brake pads halfway through the ride
  9. The Kawi 750cc is a sweet motor, hp & tq is about the same as the VFR800 VTEC, and the Z750 weighs much less.
  10. I've ridden that area a few times. There are some excellent roads in that area if you like riding twisties. 219 is really good. 39 & 250 into VA are also quite good.
  11. Excellent condition, runs perfectly, new battery, rear tire. Mileage = 12,xxx. Stock except for the Corbin seat ($439), much more comfortable and a bit lower than the stocker. Needs Nothing. $3,250 obo These bikes have a reputation for being bulletproof. Great all around cycle, & cheap to insure. Reviews for the Z750S: http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/kawasaki/2005-kawasaki-z-750s-15722.html http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2005/04/21april05_z750/ http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/159/840/Motorcycle-Article/2005-Kawasaki-Z750S-First-Ride.aspx
  12. Cool bike, way better than any supermotard (which would have ran out of gas somewhere near Butt Plug, WV on Sunday).
  13. Most streetbikes I've ever had at one time was 4. I've tried to get down to 1, but it never seems to happen.
  14. Agreed. I've had 2 of them. Probably the 'sportiest' cruiser your gonna find.
  15. Sorry to hear... The CORE ride was awesome. This was the ride of the year for me. The weather was damn near perfect. We went about as deep in WV as possilbe while still making it home the same day. I logged over 650 miles, Jbot must have been over 700. Best of all...we saw the General Lee!!!
  16. Sunday's forecast it looking good.
  17. I'm selling a .22lr revolver. Cheap to shoot and very accurate.
  18. So far it's a small CORE ride on Sunday. I'll be leaving Cleveland early-ish for a 9a meet at the Bolivar DQ, wheels rolling by 9:15. If anyone wants to meet further South, we'll be passing the 83/93 intersection at 10a, then heading south on 83. I expect to be back to Cleveland by 4 or 5.
