  1. The last true sport out there. The 2004 Ottawa Senators couldn't make payroll for a month (as ownership was being transferred to someone else), not only did the players play, but they STOMPED on the opposition. Not a single person complained.

You show me these drama queens do that.

I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me. I've been a Jackets fan since the first season. Sure we hate to see players leave but we didn't burn Columbus down over Tugnutt, Shelly, Leclaire, Federov etc. But at the end of the day they do need to do what's best for them I really think most NHL players play for the game and for the fans. I know it isn't true for all players, but the majority.

Edit: Yeah we aren't that good but I still support them. :D

  2. The Tstat should be where the upper hose goes into the engine. Probably a couple of 10mm or 12mm bolts to take the cover off. Then take the old tsat out and replace with new. Make sure you clean the surfaces of any old gasket material or the old o-ring. Replace with new.

This is generic knowledge, not gsxr specific. Hope it helps.

  3. change the thermostat. and make sure your radiator is clean. if you've been using tap water in it, it's probably plugged up with calcium deposits. using a vinegar solution works for breaking that stuff down. and is often recommended by service manuals for most cars etc.

or confirm your temp is correct with other means. such as a infrared thermometer. check it at the inlet neck in the head.

that's where the coolant sensors are usually located for most engines.

water pumps are not a magical device that keeps your engine cool. it's a solid impeller on a shaft that circulates the water when the engine is running.

the only thing that fails on a water pump is the seals. if the impeller breaks, you probably have bigger issues. like motor damage.

the thermostat is the only thing that controls the temps of your engine. they fail. it's just part of their design limits.

run without one, the engine never heats up enough

run with one not functioning (opening) then your engine over heats.

What he said. Check the temp with another device. Check to see if the upper radiator hose is hot. It should be hot and under pressure. Lower hose should be cooler. Are the fins on the radiator in good condition, is the inside corroded up?

I'd just pull the thermostat and replace it.

Water pump bearings fail as well. Had one on a camry (I think) that locked up and broke the timing belt. Another on an F150 that the bearing went out and the fan vibrated the whole truck like crazy.

  4. Effing amazing. :nono:

The U.S. Department of Justice is suing Arizona over the state's new immigration law, known as S.B. 1070.

The long-expected lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the federal district court of Arizona, asks a judge to overturn the controversial law, which requires Arizona law-enforcement officers to check the immigration status of people they suspect might be in the country illegally.

Although opponents have questioned whether the law violates civil rights - many are concerned that police are more likely to be suspicious of Latinos and other non-whites - the suit mainly argues that the federal government, not any individual state, is responsible for enforcing immigration law.

Rep. Joe Baca, D-San Bernardino, called S.B. 1070 "un-American" and "a severe setback to our liberties."

"It's right for them to sue Arizona," Baca said. "Everybody must

    follow the Constitution."

I guess the Constitution needs only be followed when it fits for your personal agenda.

Mexico on Tuesday asked a federal court in Arizona to declare the state's new immigration law unconstitutional, arguing that the country's own interests and its citizens' rights are at stake.
