I'm less than easy on it, and I run close to 80 on the freeway to work and back, and it's an 04, probably could use a carb cleaning. I'm not complaining about 50+ MPG, actually.
I've been riding "skeerd" on the 250 all that I've been on it this season, it has a weather crack all the way around the sidewall on one side from sitting out all winter. It's a good thing it won't go all that fast!
I don't think it had anything to do with the BIKE's gas limit... With tire wear, replace sooner rather than later. Later it TOO late. And regarding Pauly's driving skillz... You're just a wimp.
I'm taking the Advanced Rider Course - Sport Riding techniques in Aug. I was pretty much bored through the class, being that it's paced for people that have never been on a bike. I did learn some things, and would recommend it to any new rider. From what I understand, the practicing of the items that are "the test" makes it much easier than going to take the test on your own.
Glad to see you're ok! Now for the bike, it's nothing a little duck tape, zip ties, and a rattle can can't fix! I'm gonna go ahead and guess that insurance would total the bike, especially after seeing the scrapes on the frame.
