  1. I have a Rubik's cube in front of me! I can even solve it (without peeling stickers, or disassembling it) in a matter of a couple minutes! If I want a flashback to the 80's, all I have to do is look out my door. 1984 Camaro Z28. and 1985 hoh-duh Interceptor 500.
  2. That's what I was thinking for myself, too.
  3. I agree on ballistic performance after the bullet leaves the barrel, but I like the way .45 shoots just a tiny bit better. I have a .40 though. /hijack
  4. From everything I've read, and the little bit I have experienced, the .40 tends to flip the muzzle upward, where the .45 tends to push back. Does that sound about right? I find the .40 to be a nice in between round, when comparing 9 and .45 in price and performance. If you reload, I guess price is a whole different story.
  5. Mastercraft = Cooper. Ironically, the price isn't any less, most of the time. Many of the no name tires are actually really good.
  6. You ride? I just haven't seen you in a long time.
  7. I didn't realize, the "M" is 1/4 inch taller then the regular XD, or XD compact with grip extension. Definitely a factor for you then!
  8. Rewind to last summer. There were 2 rides that I went on with Casper. Both times we got rained on. Other interesting things to note: Both times Sambusa was with us, and both times involved 33. I'm going to keep this in mind for any future group rides that I participate in!
  9. Now THAT is an interesting trivia bit!
  10. Just more stuff for Parks to run over with his sumo.
  11. I was just kidding with my comments! It's the way things "work" around OR. Hellmut, I'm guessing that by grip length, you are talking about the backstraps? Otherwise, I though they were pretty close to the same length, from the slide to the bottom of the magazine. At any rate, you can't go wrong with the "M Factor", just many of us don't find the price difference to be worth it for what more you get, unless it's something specific like the changeable backstraps.

That's one of my favorite features of my 40D, although it's "only" 6.5 fps. I don't use the continuous shooting very often, but it's awesome when I need it!
  13. The bold part is more evidence of ween shrinkage!
  14. I have a XD40SC, and I hear the "M" is even better!

What happened to it? Where's Sam? Discuss.

I don't have any pics of my gear, but this is what I have: Canon 40D Canon 50 f/1.8 Canon 17-85 IS Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 Sigma 2x teleconverter Various filters, Canon "kit" bag, a few memory cards. and I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. I haven't been using my camera very much, I'll be getting some use out of it in a couple days when the new baby arrives!
  17. A little bit of a late welcome! I'm near Johnstown, too! I may have seen you around.
  18. I'd be in, but I have to work. I can use all the work I can get in since I'll be off a good part of next week. As for Adam's report on the roads, 666 isn't bad, not the best pavement, but I think it's better than the chip & seal on 715. My report is from a couple weeks ago on the CSBA ride. Too bad if 715 is a bust though. I have gone up 62, down 106 to 715, then 79 back home quite a few times, as a "Sunday ride" last season.
  19. I blame it on OR! I get caught up in trying to keep up on here.
  20. Seriously though, I wish you the best with it all. /seriousness /threadjack Since you have more time, you might want to hit a few more roads, maybe some of the stuff from the last CSBA route (ya know, the one that you didn't make, ) and have more fun!
  21. Sounds like a bunch of Throw a couple more kids in the mix, along with a fourth on the way, slacker! /challenge at all aspects of life
