  1. Been running on one for 2 years now. [disclaimer] Although, I will NOT advise any to do so any more than just to get somewhere to get a new tire.[/disclaimer] I can change the tire, but I don't have any way of balancing it. If you want to pick up some dynabeads for the balance, I could do it. [disclaimer]Many people don't like dynabeads but others sing their praises. [/disclaimer]
  2. I detect some jealousy... I'm at about 180 miles on this tank. I was SURE I would hit reserve on the way home, but I didn't! I'll fill it up in the morning (or the following, depending on the rain) and calculate my MPG's. Also, to the OP, I would encourage you to get out and ride in the rain on the freeway, on purpose some more before heading out on that trip. I know you weren't very comfortable riding in the rain on the photo hunt, and the chances are good that you will hit rain while out on your trip. It took me a while to get comfortable riding in heavy rain, and even still I don't corner very hard in the rain (not saying that I do on the dry roads either.)
  3. And throw away the helmet.
  4. Dang. Bad timing. I can't buy right now, I have other priorities right now.
  5. That's funny, if they say call or text only, I'm not as likely to contact them! To each their own, I suppose.
  6. They played that video at our church this morning!
  7. Your opinion means nothing. Go away liberal, anti-gun troll.
  8. Most of the stuff I NEED a torque wrench for require even torque more than a specific value. I do know that ALL fasteners have a torque spec, though. I guess I'm just not that much of a perfectionist.
  9. If you have condoms around for 6 years, you might just want one to fail to get you a trophy for that piece of action!
  10. Can you do a wheelie on that thing? Very nice looking bike indeed!
  11. Yeah, it wasn't anything like a bike night. It was during the day. DUH!!!
  12. What is it? This is what you get for bailing on the anniversary photo hunt ride. Seriously though, good to hear you made it home and all without too much damage.
  13. I think the OP wants them to be in the best condition possible when she puts them on the bike. Keeping them away from any of the drastic conditions discussed should help. I would definitely second the comments about keeping them off the concrete, and put them somewhere that is a consistent temperature.
  14. Those of us on the second place team that didn't have huge amounts of storage space (to have rain gear with us) were soaked to the bone. I think my feet are finally drying now. You should have been in the ride. It was a blast!
  15. I would like to know as well. I don't think you can get them at OR events. I forgot to ask if there were any at the shindig today.
  16. That was fun! Thanks to all involved for putting this together! Also, a shoutout to Sliverfox for breaking (then fixing) my helmet for me!
  17. Wet. The word of the day is: WET. That is all.
  18. I'm not sure if I'll be there if it's raining. If it's not, I won't be there for long after the photo hunt.
  19. I guess I'll see you next week then Eb... I mean John!
  20. I do. It's built into the grip, though. XD FTW!
