  1. Once your computer completes a work unit, (part of the equation?) you are awarded points for doing so. Just a way to show how much you've contributed to the project. PS3's come with the application install, from what I remember hearing, but you have to enable it, or something. It is not on the Xbox. It just worked out that the processor in the PS3 works out well for this type of work.
  2. I've been running it for at least 3 years, probably longer! At one time, I have 7 or 8 cores running! Right now, I have 3 or 4. I'll get a couple more running though. I just neglected to do so after OS re-installs, or other maintenance.
  3. Great! Now I need to go in and change the team number on all the clients that I have running. (You know I'm on top of doing it ASAP!)
  4. Hmmm. I thought there was a rule about not posting re-intro threads... Welcome back though! I'm glad to see you wanting to get back into riding!
  5. Oops. Looks like I forgot to take the folding off pause on my desktop PC! I have to remedy that when I get home! Some things just don't run well while it's running. I had it shut down on my laptop, too! No points for me!
  6. I thought it was because you like cars and you are... Nevermind... I really doubt that you get paid for it!
  7. folding.stanford.edu If they had folding@home on the 360, I would have it running!
  8. I turn some pretty decent points with the GPU client on my 9800GT video card. I also run the cpu client on that one, and several other pc's.
  9. Well don't pull it the third time next time. Just skip to the fourth pull, and you'll be fine! Is this a common occurance with other BG .380 owners? I'm guessing you have searched it out, or will do so. If it turns out to be the cheap ammo, that's just another reassurance to me that I need to only use the cheap ammo for range time, and use quality stuff for when it counts.
  10. Yes, but you seem to know an awful lot about it! At least I think that's the point he was trying to make.
  11. I had a friend do well with a BHPH lot. He bought a reasonable car, the amount wasn't much more than he would've gotten from any other place. He had little choice with as bad as his credit was. Anyway, after a while through the contract, or whatever they call it, they offered him the option to transfer it to a regular loan, with a normal lender. I'm not sure of the terms, but I remember it being very fair. On the other side of the coin, I've seen many go the other way. I've also worked on some of the heaps that they sell. There were a few times that there was serious stuff wrong with a car, but the lot wouldn't want to fix it, they'd just sell it that way! I wish I would've had the means, and the time to watch and tell the people buying some of those vehicles what was up with them!
  12. Let's see... Simple math, 3/8=.375 So yeah, .38, .380. 9mm is just a bit smaller at .354
  13. Nice! Bonus points, and maybe even rep if you can name the book, chapter and verse where that is located...
  14. I'm sure (from experience) that it will be some of both! Hopefully, you can find some win in the end of it all!
  15. It's not the same as it was 10 years ago. I can't keep interested in it anymore. Leveling the playing field with the "car of tomorrow" took a lot of the competitiveness out of it. Indycar isn't any better. It IS fun to go to a race, but watching on tv, not so much any more.
  16. Oh, the one that you borrowed my computer to look up? I tried to tell you that google Chrome has incognito, or Internet Explorer has inPrivate browsing. Your wife would never find out.

Black Tod is just not right!
  18. I met my wife through Yahoo personals. I know my opinion doesn't matter much, but the bars got to be too much BS.
  19. That might ADD to the value for some people!
  20. I'm actually surprised that the cheap, sub $40 battery I put in my $500 bike is still doing well! I have been pretty tough on it, back when I got the bike and had problems, I would crank it until it was dead, then use a jump pack! What appears to be the OE AGM battery in the Ninja is holding up well, too. That thing is TINY! I think my laptop battery might be bigger than it, comparing dimensions! And class? You should know all about that, since you have tried to buy some, but still have none!
  21. Change cow catcher, to turkey catcher on her vehicle!
  22. Someone missed the first post! I have a .40. I'm talking XD vs XDM.
  23. I the guy's defense, he just looked at the pricetag. I'm not sure I could really justify the extra $110 in price, especially after reading firsthand experiences on the xdtalk.com forums.
  24. Cool! A hundred more than I paid for it is cool with me! I add 10 to that and I'd have the XDM. I just noticed that the ad I was looking at was dated for 2/13 which is the date I bought mine, meaning it SHOULD have been the lower price. It's all ok though, I'm not disappointed with what I have anyway.
