  1. Maybe I'm just jealous that I didn't invent it?
  2. You want to reassemble the engine for me? I have the heads off it, and about half the valves out, replacing the worst ones with valves from a pars engine that I got with the bike. I paid $500 for my heap, not running, partly apart, carbs needed cleaned, etc... I put probably 1000-1500 miles on it last year after all that!
  3. You're late. He started his own... http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=59570
  4. But... What does the camel think about that? Glad to hear that you're back!
  5. Nice bike! I love my 85 Interceptor 500! I just need to get it put back together! I will warn you not to run it up to redline all the time, kinda take it easy on the ole V4 and it will last quite a while! They do have some issues with oil getting to the top end of the engine, so make sure you keep plenty of good clean oil in it. If you like to work on stuff, check out vfrworld.com and go to the first and second generation section. I post some over there, and have learned a LOT about the bike.
  6. Oh! That tells the story! Ask KawiKid about 715! I took that road without a guide a few weeks after the first CSBA ride went through there, and I skeered myself (and the guy following me) because I don't know the road, although I HAVE heard that there are a few curves on that road that ALWAYS have gravel in them, so I wasn't riding near my limits anyway. Get that thing back together so we all can ride with ya again!
  7. Just look at the title of the newspaper, just the first part, actually... Newark. That is all... (I am from there, and even I can see the light!)
  8. Unfortunately, posting in the comments section of the link in the OP, people don't see it this way!!!
  9. Correct. No right or worng, nothing is going to bring back a lost life. However, I like to take an awful occurance such as this to bring a positive, and hope that someone learns something, whether it be to ATGATT, or someone is more aware the next time they ride.
  10. Never really thought about off road riding like that. Makes sense.
  11. It took me a minute to see that I can't f'n type...
  12. That's why so many people like Todd! Todd, did you get batteries for your thinking cap from Mr. Duracell, Jrmmiii?
  13. To: BHO Instead of finding fault, find a solution. Sincerealy, The American People.
  14. I didn't think of the target fixation... Veering to the right, seeing the ditch at your side, panic and rid straight into it... Man, that is scary. I have proven the target fixation to myself several times. Pick a line in the road that is still safe, but get it in your mind that you don't want to go there. Watch this spot as you try to avoid it and see what happens. Even if prepared for it, you will go toward it. It takes some serious concentration to avoid the forces.
  15. I thought Shell didn't blend with Ethanol as well?
  16. Wow! Triumph uses a regular OBD2 port! Cool stuff! I love to see options like this available! For anybody without experience with ECU tuning, be very careful, and don't make any big changes, if you mess with the maps any. Keep your changes below 2-3% at a time, to keep from hurting anything. The ideal plan would be to take your bike over to DTM and have Brian help you out with tuning it on the dyno. A few $$ to him would be well worth it to not screw up your bike!
  17. Depends on how much alcohol you had the night before...
  18. It is SO much easier to blame someone else...
  19. I was thinking the one where Bam--- I mean Mr.Anderson became a "superstar" turned out fine? I wasn't on any group rides last year, other than a couple poker runs, though.
  20. And there's "evidence" of one from last year on 79... Not that anybody here would know anything about that...
