  1. What the hell were the switches on the cylinder heads?

Compression releases. They have to bump the compression into the sky to get power out of them, on top of boring them out to like 4 inch bores....

I think the Goldwing whoolies were badass, that guy has skillz not even jcroch can touch

They looked slightly out of control, unlike the harley wheelie video. I bet Jcroz could whoolie a 'wing.... Just sayin'....

  2. No joke.

My taillight housing is ridiculous. There's three wires coming off the harness, ground, power, brake. Each one has a flat spade connector. There's no weatherpack or other connector. Each wire connects to it's individual flat spade on the bulb housing side. This shit is ghe-tto.

You get what you pay for?

    (Italian name that is!!!)

  3. Be glad that they didn't scrub the wound after the injection with a wire brush.

Glad to here that you didn't lop your arm off on the stairs.

Sure it sucks, but it could always suck more.

I've had friends that have been through the brush scrubbing. I can't even IMAGINE what that would feel like. The thought of it just reinforces my need to wear ATGATT on the bike!

  4. Who's going to be riding this weekend? It's been frozen for a couple weeks, and it's supposed to be in the 40's, so I'm betting there will be a few out and about on bikes!

IF I can get the Ninja starter to work or the Hon-duh back together, AND the driveway at the shop has thawed enough, I MAY get out for a little bit, as long as it's not raining.

    (see tags for )

  5. lol Didnt really know how to explain it so i went ahead and googled the word goetta second option was " Goetta Cincinnati" but heres Wikipedias Definition:

Goetta is a peasant food of German origin that is popular in the greater Cincinnati area. It is primarily composed of ground meat and oats. Pronounced gétt-aa, ged-da or get-uh.

FUN FACT: Goetta was originally a peasant dish, meant to stretch out servings of meat over several meals to conserve money.

The modern popularity of goetta in Cincinnati has led to it being called "Cincinnati Caviar". <<<Definitely needs to make the " Your'e from Ohio list"

Sounds like something that Cinci can keep all to itself.... Just sayin'.

  6. If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand.

One is propane, the other gasoline.

They're Wisconsin VH4D's and supposedly both of them run. I'll probably sell at least one of them.

I'm gonna doubt that the propane engine is much different, so you may want to keep that one, or all the stuff bolted on that is different, that way you'd still have the option to run propane. My boss has a bi-fuel setup on his Ranger, Gasoline and Propane and can switch on the fly. It's nice when gas is expensive, such as it is right now, especially since he locks in a good price on propane every year for the filling ststion. I think he's at less than $1.5 for propane right now, close to half the price of 87 unleaded.

It's nice to be able to run down to the shop to fill my grill tank, also! :D

  7. +1. The A Team were soldiers.. not superheros. Still going to see it' date=' though. It can't possibly suck worse than [i']G.I. Joe did.

(finger's crossed.. please don't suck as bad as G.I. Joe did. Pretty please)

Are you saying to not waste my time watching GI Joe?

Since we're in a thread about some 80's regurgitation, a quick, funny story.

We're in the car last night, my wife wants to get a dog (I'm not thrilled baout it, but that's nothing to do with the story) and she says she wants a bassett hound. I let her go on, and she even had a name picked out for a female dog, which I don't remember... Well, she asked what I woudl name the dog. I just said "flash." She didn't get it. I had to explainto her where that came from. She was born in the early 80's and I'm sure she probably saw Duke's reruns.....After explaining it, she said, well if it's a girl we'll name it daisy may... :wtf: Not the same thing... :nono:

Anyway, she'll probably kill me when she sees this, but I thought it had some humor to it, but maybe you just had to be there....

  8. I picked up my new to me skid steer this morning.

Because I've spent the money it officially will not snow in Ohio again this winter.

Go ahead and get the bikes ready for a ride this weekend.

Actually, I played with it a bit this afternoon. Not a bad deal - $3,000.00 for the whole lot (forks, decent bucket, and two extra motors)

Wow! That sounds like a good deal! Sure, an enclosed dab would be nice, but for $3k, it's good.

    Is it gas or diesel?

  9. I've always put steel wool inside a zip lock baggie, then insert that into the exhaust openings. Rodents won't chew through steel wool and the baggie keeps it from getting lost.

And of course whatever eles the other peoples said.

YOUR opinion is not needed, Mr. Cali....

You'll hear varying opinions on using sta-bil. From what I've researched, the fuel will be fine for the few months that the bike will be sitting. Where the problems arise is when the bike sits longer than a few months.

I didn't do much with mine. I never did even get the Ninja's tank filled

The Honda, I just filled the tank, pulled it into the shop and ripped the valve covers off. Now I just need to get that timing chain tensioner switched and the bike back together, with new o-rings on the coolant tubes. The Ninja is in the shop also, just sitting there waiting for me to tear into it for the starter clutch issue.

  10. I made some chili for dinner tonight. It's still cooking. The wife sampled a bite when she got home and said it was spicy. I thought it tasted bland. We'll see when I get home and actually have a bowl. I'm thinking about chopping up some of the habanero and jalapeno peppers that I bought yesterday to put in it....

  11. Not sure on Hotels. When I went there for work, we stayed at a nice Holiday Inn. I can't remember which though.

Last time I went, a couple years ago, I stayed with a relative and drove in to pick up the Metro to do the sight seeing. Wow, was I BEAT after 2 days, too!

  12. sorry got mine, referred to "got my sprint phone"... I passed on the instinct. I have a Touch Pro 2.... got an Android port on it too ;)

I've heard the TP2 is pretty sweet, too. I just don't need the full blown winmo. I already had the Everything Data plan that's required for the Hero, since I had the Instict, and the wife has an Instinct, also. We FINALLY got them to apply her work discount, 22% off!

I'm sure you know all about slickdeals.net right?
