  1. One of our mechanics at work is like that. He has numerous amounts of comebacks and he always finds some other thing wrong with the car as to why its not his fault. If we had someone to replace he would have been fired by now.

Ya know, occasionally I have something come back for some little tiny issue, and find another issue that I didn't get quite right that could be a potential issue. I think I have someone looking out for me on those! With that said, comebacks suck! I'm glad I don't get very many!!!!

What I really love, is when a customer brings us parts to fix their car, tells us what's wrong with it, then gets mad because what they told us to do didn't fix their problem! We had a guy take us to court over such a thing!

I'm not even gonna get started on the co-worker issues, because we're all friends outside of work (owners, and all of us) co-worker (that doesn't know which way to turn a wrench, but is still employed) is a member here, and the owner knows we're both on OR all the time, even during the work day. Not taking any chances!

(BTW, the comment about the co-work was a j/k, and it's really a pretty cool place to work, besides a few issues here and there.)

  2. Ooooo.. The feeling you get when you realize something like that, THEN see a LEO! If he would have pulled you over though, I wouldn't have told him you had the plate off to ride another bike with it. Not sure what you COULD say other than a bold faced lie, other than maybe you have a shop, just put the bike back together from messing with some stuff, and forgot you hadn't put it back on.... Or, it must've fallen off! Wasn't tightened enough.

  3. I think there should be random bonuses here and there, just because.. Someone had mentioned a prize if all 3 pics on the main page come up from the same person, maybe some exp points, for the one that sees it, and the one whose pics are up there? And maybe a lesser amount for 2 showing up? Just something random that popped into my head, as I noticed 2 from benyen came up earlier for me. The only thing is that the person seeing them would have to say something, then the almighty Casper (or other mod, or admin) would have to verify somehow, or maybe there's an auto way of doing it?

Just thinking my dumbass thoughts aloud......

  4. *shrug* I'm indifferent, but if you move everything together please enforce the title requirements. I know I click from the New Posts but I look to see what forum it is in too.

    :plus1:

Most of the time here recently, I've been just hitting th efront page for new threads, but when there are a lot of rides being organized, I tend to go to the region page to see what's up, and what rides I'm not going on. Maybe next year I'll get out to more rides.

Anyway, as long as there's a location in the title, I'm cool with it.

  5. one oddity they noted is the caster on the wheels is a bit off, but there's no manufacturer-specified way to adjust this so the front caster is just slightly off. and apparently no way to adjust rear camber either.

How much is it off? If it's only a small amount, sometimes, the cradle can be shifted a little bit to help. Although, a small amount won't make a difference. Caster is not a tire wearing angle, it mainly helps with straight-line stability. Think of the forks on your bike, now compare that to the struts on the front of your car. Same deal, pretty much. If caster is a bit more than specified, it will help with the car wanting to stay straight, as it's running down the road. if there's a BIG difference in the amount of caster from side to side (cross caster) it COULD tend to lead to the side with the most. It won't be so much of a PULL, and it takes quite a bit to cause an issue.

  6. The wife says they'll know after they open the new store on Monday afternoon, if you're interested, apply online.

You could always try the new Burger King, they NEED someone with a brain in there. I'll ask a friend of mine if he needs any help, he has a towing service, and also fixes up and resells some cars, he might need some help, as long as you have some experience.

  7. There are quite a few new shops opening in Johnstown, have you hit up any of them? The Kroger that's opening in town might also still be hiring, I'll ask my wife later (she works there). If you're willing to drive to Pataskala, I know the Kroger there is hiring. Trying to think of anything else out this way....
