The fun part of a first birthday party is the kid having their own cake, as mentioned above. The rest is an adult get-together, and having the kid sit on mom or dad's lap while they open the presents for the kid. BTDT. The second birthday is when they start getting an idea of what to do, but still much the same. By the third birthday, it's game on. I enjoy the birthday parties as a chance to have a get-together, and make the kid the center of the day. They need that once in a while, especially since we have 4 of them! If you were in central Ohio, I have a hookup for bounce houses! 3 of our kids have birthday's in the warmer months, and we get a bounce house for at least one of them. We've always just had the parties here, but have friends that have done everything from McDonald's, bowling alley, churches, parks, pretty much any activity that kids like, birthday parties have been done there.

Not arguing, and totally understand your stance, and even sticking with it myself, but OR=public forum, FB=public forum. Same difference! Due to past experiences, I tend to keep FB and OR somewhat separate.

Yeah, I see a pic tagged with him in it here and there on FB, haven't heard from him otherwise in over a year. Season before last, I did get to go out for a ride with him, which I really enjoyed!

When the tweeter in my center channel, and the amps in my powered subs gave out, I pretty much quit the surround sound setup. I don't watch many movies anyway. I'm contemplating fixing the center and a sub amp, but I have repurposed the rear surround speakers, so they would need replaced, too. Still thinking about it, since we have added blu-ray player, and stream movies once in a while. Maybe I would watch more if I had 5.1 working again?

My Red Wing work boots were made in the USA. I'm not all that happy with, other than e fact that they are holding up really well. Their sizing machine the they have I the store is a joke. The boots they insisted were the right size for me are about a half size too big. They're working out OK now, an year later!

I need to find someone that can remove tint without damaging the rear defroster and re-tint my rear. It was tinted when I bought it, and it must be cheap tint, because 12 years later it's bubbling pretty badly!

I'm glad I didn't see this in time! I would like to have a bolt action .22lr to use to teach the boys. I can use the 10/22, and just load a single round, I suppose.

The Tint Dude I think is the one that did a friend's Vette. That rear window is tough to do, but he made it look easy! Turned out awesome. I think $150 is VERY cheap!

Funny thing, I'm sitting in front of the computer, browsing with my tablet! I'm finding more and more uses for the tablet. I've only had it a few days though, I'll see how it is in a few weeks after the "new" wears off!

i just bought a 90 buck Android tablet that showed up friday. So far i'm loving it! i do some audio editing, and I can use the tablet as a control surface for the software that I use. pretty cool for the price.

Yeah, slow for chicken dries it out from what I've been told. I'm not sure how much a rub is going to get through the skin, anyway. I'm thinking about trying it without rub, just lots of smoke. I'm thinking about throwing in a second chip box to get more smoke in a short period of time. I will be posting about it when I do it.

What do you use for chicken (wood, rub?). I'm going to be doing a couple whole chickens soon and some tips would be nice!

Head gaskets? I haven't seen any at our dealership. I thought there were just a couple years that had valve seat problems? Then again, there aren't very many in my area. It seems that most people around here want Silverados, and I can't blame them!
