  1. That's about what we spend, with the exception of me getting lunch out a couple times a week, and an occasional (up to once a week) dinner out. What kills us is all the little trips to the store in between shopping trips. $35 here, $50 there. It adds up quickly! We also have 4 different gallons of milk at all times! The youngest drinks whole milk, chocolate milk and 2% (my wife cuts the chocolate milk down with 2%) for the 3 older kids, and she uses skim milk for herself.
  2. Honda Northwest sells cars now? If there's something in particular that you're looking for, I can ask one of the salesmen at the dealership that I work for if they have anything.
  3. That's better! Now I won't mind replacing the bent plates on the wife's car.
  4. Yes, I understand that, just never really thought about it! I really like how straight the cutting edge is on my Leek.
  5. I compared it to my Kershaw Leek and the length is just about 1/4" shorter, but the LOOKS a LOT shorter. I just compared blade length though, and it's not much more than 1/4" shorter. It must be the curve of the blade...
  6. Do this before working black Friday?
  7. The other thing that I forgot at the time of my last post in this thread is that using just one brake when it's designed for 2 will cause the working one to get hotter. This is even more likely if you have been riding the bike for a while (not a new to you bike) you WILL tend to brake the way you normally do, which could be more than one rotor is designed to handle, therefore causing damage, or even dangerous brake fade.
  8. I have gotten into the habit of turning to look behind me since I started riding the bike, a habit that I've carried over to the cage. I don't know anybody that can be watching the mirrors all the time and still see where they're going. I do stay very aware of the other vehicles around me, I just don't constantly stare in the rearview mirrors. How about YOU go to the store in the middle of the night when my kids are at home in bed? With a family of 6, we usually fill a cart, and part of a second one, so we all go so that I can push one of the carts. I also save us a few dollars on stuff when I compare price per quantity, etc... I also usually end up blowing that savings with crap that I throw in the cart.
  9. She works for Kroger (in the pharmacy) so everything gets negotiated through the union (don't get me started on unions, although Kroger and the UFCW seem to work well with each other, and union dues are reasonable.)
  10. This. I'm an professional automotive technician, and I know a thing or 2 about how this stuff works. As Bubba posted above, what about a little fluid getting by your clamp? Those clamps are meant for troubleshooting only. Here's the deal, you get on the brakes hard, some fluid gets past the clamp, you need to release the brakes because the wheel's locking up, you go to release the lever, and guess what? That fluid on the caliper side doesn't have anything to push it back and your wheel stays locked, or close to it, and you lowside, maybe into the other lane of oncoming traffic. Riding a motorcycle is dangerous enough without doing stuff such as this. If you move to this area, make sure to tell me so I can tell our manager NOT to hire you.
  11. My employer offers a HSA plan. It was VERY expensive compared to what my wife's employer hits us to add me to her plan. My wife's insurance is going up, and coverage decreasing as well. I thought Obama was going to save us from rising healthcare costs?
  12. Seriously dude? I HOPE you're just trolling, and didn't actually crimp a brake hose.
  13. Just found the same knife at Walmart (in store according to the web site) for $13.84. I guess the Woot wasn't a tremendous deal after all, unless you bought more than one. Boo for me buying just one.
  14. I got mine already! Very nice little knife! I like the idea posted earlier to have them engraved for gifts! I wish I had gotten more than one, now!

    Fostered dog

    Nice looking ankle biter!
  16. Fixed. I don't know if they have it sorted out or what, but I haven't had much trouble with that. I'm guessing that everyone is talking about BlackOps2...
  17. That looks to be a good price on a fine firearm! I'd like to check one out one day!
  18. Hit up BAD432's burrito cart sometime, he's near Cleveland somewhere!
  19. Stubbs sweet heat might not be bad on brisket. When I get brisket at 62bbq, I use their "hidden stash" sauce, and a some of their regular stuff. Sweet sauce on brisket? Oh yeah, but only if the brisket is done right, and falling apart!
  20. Was your insurance lapsed, or just the card an old one? If you did not have insurance, court or not, you're hoofing it for a while. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. If someone was never taught that killing someone was illegal (not likely to ever happen) should they be let go because they didn't know that it was against the law? If they got the road and conditions wrong, you may be able to fight the speeding ticket. As long as you have proof that your insurance was in effect at the time of the offense, you're ok on that part.
  21. How many enchilada and taco sauces? Oh wait, those are probably kept on the burrito cart.
  22. Very nice price on an awesome firearm!
