  1. Born and raised in Nerk, Ahia. (Newark to those not in the know)

I've lived in Licking county all my life. Newark (several places, I think we moved about every 2 years when I was growing up), Heath, Newark, Pataskala, Granville (actually a few miles north of, but it was Granville PO) Heath, Hewark, and now outside of Johnstown, 1.8 miles from work!

  2. "I have followed an 03 Aprilia RSV1000 through the twisties and had no problem staying right behind him except when we were topped out on a straight, and then the Aprilia was just barely pulling away."

I'm sorry, I'll shift out of 6th gear next time. ;)

Seriously though, good luck with the sale and get back on a new bike ASAP!

 I was wondering who's ape you were talking about there.....

  3. I got two to trade on one possibly then so you may see me up there. Just have to find another person to ride the other bike up there for me.......Great Job on the award though. :-)

I'd offer to ride one up for you, but that would probably be bad, as I would want to buy something from them!

  4. I haven't hear many people who were happy with the Instinct. YMMV

I'm not THAT unhappy with the Instink, I just wish they would FIX the bugs. The wife and I both have Instincts, and they both have random lockup issues, usually in texting. Navigation USED to be good, but it is AWFUL now. The wife's rarely even works, unable to find satellites, when mine is in the same car, held in the same spot, it works. Mine just doesn't seem to be able to figure out where I am, or my heading.

But hey..who gives a fuck if it isn't the #1 phone? I'd rather have something that works and does what I need it to do..when I need it to do it. I've never been a 'follow the masses' type of person. You don't see my house full of Apple gear just because it looks cool. If I can build it myself or buy the same functionality cheaper...I'll do it.

    A BIG :plus1:

What the fuck was I ranting about again?

:dunno: Does anyone really care? (I must, I replied! )

  5. Lot's of reasons to NOT get the pre, which I had sort of thought about (not very seriously). I'm still not even sure I'm going to do anything for now. I do have a full upgrade "credit" available, maybe I'll look into some of the new stuff coming, as I really don't need a winmo, or other PDA phone, since I have my own computer here at work anyway.

I will keep the touch pro in mind though, as I like gadgets!

  6. Going home from work on the freeway, a favorite pastime is to tag any riders I see ahead of me, and ride with them. The deal is, to see how long it takes for them to see me in their mirrors. Errrr.... almost all of them don't. They never look in their mirrors. I ride like flying a fighter aircraft, at least in traffic anyway. look forward - left mirror - look forward - right mirror - look forward - gauges & lights - repeat...

I don't scan nearly that agressively, although I know I should.

I absolutely hate having any vehicle over-take me from behind without me knowing it.

    A BIG :plus1:

  7. Agreed, but would you pin that on the organizers or the religion? Fundamentally speaking, none of the major religions condone killing.

It's the extremists of the religions that do the killing! Islam for example, is a peacful religion, it's the Islamic EXTREMISTS that are causing the trouble. There are just so many of them that it makes Islam look evil.

Some very good, valid points here! And it's been a civil discussion! Wow!

  8. +1.. It isn't hard for me to look around this country and see a huge lack of 'hey' date=' that's convenient'. I believe something played a part in the creation of this place. It's that whole "virgin birth, son of god, heaven and hell" bit that I have trouble believing.[/quote']

That's where faith comes into play. I don't know how to describe it any other way!

FTR: This is not meant to start a secular vs faith argument or bashing session. I believe everyone has the right to believe as they choose' date=' without comments or hatred from others, so long as what they believe doesn't do damage to others.[/quote']

I agree here! You are free to believe what I want you to!

Not really though, I will not berate you for what you do, or do not believe. All I ask is that it stays that way on both sides!

Also, I am willing to listen to anyone's belief, as long as they are willing to hear mine! The hate and intolerance leads to what we have in the middle east, and THAT is not good!

  9. Dude you're like 23. Nothing has happened to you a long long time ago.

Likwid is another story. I think he parted a sea once.

    Double ZING!!!!

I still want to go there. I've been to Vegas, over the Hoover Dam, but not to the Grand Canyon. I have travelled a little, been out of the country, but really want to do more of it! Lot's that I want to soo!

  10. When i was about 12 years old, My uncle had an 86 interceptor 750. dual kerker pipes. He had me into quads, but when he trade off his quad he raced, it was an 86 250x bored and stroked to a 308. It had so much compression that I couldn't kick it over when I was younger. Anyway,He got the interceptor, and took me for a ride one day. I was hooked. After that I wanted a bike. I got into cars for alittle while and decided to trade off my project for a bike. I found my f3, traded my bike off for it and the rest is history!

My cousin had (actually has it again) a 750 interceptor from the mid 80's, with the Kerker dual exhaust on it. I LOVE the sound of that bike! I would like to find some sort of aftermarket exhaust for my 500!

  11. Garage? I need a garage!

If I had a garage, this is the list of vehicles I own:

    Listed in order of acquisition.

84 Camaro (NOT stock, never ending project!)

    98 Intrepid (My cage)

    02 Malibu (Wife's cage)

    04 Ninja 250

    85 Interceptor 500

    At work (big garage):

A big blue box and a blue cart, both full of tools.
