  1. Set your DVR. National Geographic has a show on tonight called "Motorcycle Tech" I have TiVo all over it, and I will report back what I think of it after I get to watch it. According to TiVo, it's on again 9/20 at 2 am and again 9/24 at 5 pm. I'm not sure what it is, but the description is: "Technologies help avoid motorcycle crashes and prevent injuries or death when a rider goes down."

  2. Damn dood! Glad to hear that you had such good reflexes to get away from the bike, then get it out of the way!

Were you on 270 this evening, sometime after 7? I'm pretty sure it was you, looked like your bike, jacket, flourescent sweatshirt on the back seat. We were in the cage heading to the Easton area. I'm guessing you were going to the bike night?

  3. Thanks for everything guys. I just got off the phone with my sisterd BF Larry who currently has the bike. He spent a bunch of time cleaning it up to see what really needed to be replaced. He found out I only need the front upper and lower plastics, a turn signal and a tail piece. The front plastics are practically ground through and can't just be painted. The tail could probably be fixed but its only $40 so I will just buy a new one with the other plastics. Really, as far as repairs I trust he has it covered. The only thing I really need to do is sell it. Thanks to all that have offered to go over to his place though.

I agree, I need to work on getting better and not worrying. I've just finally gotten off of some of those strong drugs and reality has been setting in. It's scary but I can do this.

You are an inspiration! Keep strong man! I believe God has a plan for you, as well as the rest of us! Don't look down because of what has happened, there IS an opportunity in here for you!!!

  4. Comment from my stepbrother after telling him I really don't give a shit about it:

yea i mean it was funny but thanks to the whole user content driven internet thing its goin crazy

    i miss the old internet

Also, rep for Casper (Like he needs it, he can give himself all he wants) for the second time I've heard "gay fish" in th epast couple days, and neither was from South Park!

  5. Didn't read the thread, but I don't understand why anyone gives a shit about it. All this stuff is doing is underminding any values that some parents are trying to teach their kids. It's ok to interrupt and be disrespectful when someone doesn't get their way.... THAT'S the only reason I give a shit. I guess we need to get some morals deeply rooted in our kids before they're old enough to watch this CRAP on tv. Real life it's not.

  6. I got it because I knew I wanted an upright riding position with as much "sport" packed in as possible.

This is what I'm going to CALL it.

Real reason is both bikes were cheap, and available at the time. (Why does that sound so dirty? )

In the end, I like both bikes, and plan to keep them because of the upright riding position, yet still being sporty enough to ride the twisties. The other reason's for the Hon-duh would be that I've always liked the looks of the old Interceptors, along with liking to work on things (since I seem to be doing a lot of that!)

  7. I'm not planning to be riding this winter, as both bikes need work (maybe mechanical on the Hon-duh,and cosmetics on both) and that will be the perfect opportunity to do it, and a good excuse to not look like a wimp for not riding in the cold.

  8. I bought my '04 for $950, but the front fairings were gone. Mine had less than 2400 miles on it.

In good condition, they bring up around $2000, and age doesn't seem to bring that down by a big amount. I'd lowball it at around $1000, based on age, and not being 100%.

Funny thing that I noticed is that the Ninja 250's that I've been seeing on Craigslist lately are listed over $2000, when this spring they were on there in the $1000-1500 range! I would think that they would go for more in the spring when demand is up!

  9. I'm planning to keep riding until it's no longer safe (Ice scares the crap out of me!) or until it's too cold for my gear to keep me from freezing, whichever comes first. I'm not sure how the gear will do with keeping me warm, but the insulated liner's seem to be really good in the jacket and the pants!

  10. dont have to be a big ride man there is usually someone riding around every weekend. just post something up!

Cool! I'll do that. Gonna be a couple weeks at the earliest! Next weekend is planned out already, probably no riding (or little at best.)

  11. Yah I was scared of getting into a "chicken wing" situation.

I tried working on the tire but I can't seem to get the bead lined up :( Gonna take the wheel off and take it to a professional... not sure when IP gets back in town.

Proabably not a bad idea, on sending the stuff, and getting someone to take care of youe tire. Hurry with getting it fixed, the season is gonna be over before you know it!

  12. almost to coshocton!

I was def. in your county! I need to just ride down there, and be done with it! I was down there once, taking 16 down, before I knew better ways to get there, and got to ride a couple of your roads. Not the more serious ones, but I was going to help my dad from being stranded on the side of the road.

Maybe if someone gets together another beginner/novice ride, I could make it. They've been on bad days for me. :(
