  1. One of MANY reasons to have a paper trail.
  2. What code does it have? Those tubes usually don't plug up. If there's a problem, it would be more likely to be in the aluminum plenum. The most common failure of the EGR system on a Ford, by a HUGE margin, is the DPFE sensor, which is the unit connected to that tube by 2 silicon hoses, used to detect the flow through the tube.
  3. http://www.klfy.com/story/15717759/second-hand-dealer-law How ridiculous! LA can fall off into the ocean along with CA, as far as I'm concerned!
  4. FZ8, or even the used VFR that was there a few weeks ago would be fine for me! If that's what they'll put in my Trick or Treat OR style bag, I'll be there!
  5. There is situation listed where there's a throttle body code at the same time, and it COULD be there, since a generic code reader may not pick it up, since it's not a P0xxx code. The vehicle manufacturer is not required to make anything other than the P0xxx codes available. Unfortunately, you may need to use a pro scan tool with Nissan capabilities to get codes in the P1xxx and P2xxx ranges. The code for the throttle body referenced in what I saw was a P2185.
  6. Tuneup time for the P0300. For the P0731, this is what I get:
  7. Ahem... You must have missed this: http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=84756
  8. Hit up chevysoldier, see if he has his at home, since he's not far away. If you need help knowing what's going on for sure once you get the codes, let me know what they are. I have access to some pretty good sources for repair info.
  9. I passed you on 62, just east of New Albany. I was in the cage headed to work. I'm missing going on some of these nice rides! Our family schedule will lighten in the next couple of weeks, and it will be awful cold, but maybe I can take some nice afternoon rides!
  10. I heard that the owner had been in prison recently, and that he wasn't the most stable individual. This IS just hearsay though.
  11. I've had 2.3 for a LONG time on my EVO Shift.
  12. I have one of these somewhere: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=&item_ID=78777&group_ID=1578&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog I used it last year for swapping valves around in my VF500 and it works really well. I was very surprised! If I can dig it up, you're welcome to borrow it, but I'm not exactly close to you.
  13. to all the posts in this thread so far!
  14. JCMathis is the Ohio Chapter leader. I am a member as well. The CSBA website is: www.christiansportbike.com and their forums are at: http://www.christiansportbike.com/phpBB3/index.php Hope that helps!
  15. You would not be disappointed with an XD. I agree, after looking at mine, that grip looks to be full length. The barrel length looks the same as the SC though.
  16. That's not too far from the Sunday afternoon rides I was doing just to get out last fall. I may have to try getting back into that for a few weeks, after this weekend.
  17. When installing the newer versions, I've been very careful about which options to install, because all I want are the conversion stuff, and the burning stuff. They have a LOT of other stuff in there that will eat away at your resources if you're not careful.
  18. Use a bigger hard drive, or add an external to just store them all in that case. I haven't downloaded a movie in a LONG time, but that's how I always handled it. I was looking at one time to convert some of them so that they would play on the Xbox as a media center extender. I don't remember what I ended up using.
  19. This is a 4G test from a while back, while at work. EVO shift. Funny thing, that's about twice as fast as the DSL connection at work!
