I think a big part of it is where you crash. If you get a life flight in your home state there is a decent chance they are in network.

Your regular medical probably only covers 'in network' life flight coverage. Which means you don't really have any coverage for that at all. You are looking at about 25K for a ride to the hospital. Check your motorcycle coverage to see if it covers that, if not get a rider. Ours already does but only because we carry a fair amount of extra insurance, liability umbrella's and shit like that. It's really not that much extra for that stuff.
