From the get go this felt like mostly marketing hype, smoke and mirrors to me. They were running around creating a lot of buzz and not much product the whole time. Their entire public persona was just too slick and polished. The ads, the website all of it was top of the line. Glitzy offices and manufacturing. That made me think they spent all their cash on that part of it. Great concept, and the few that they did make looked really awesome.

First, the new system rocks, you just have not figured out how to make it rock yet. That is not an insult, just want to be clear it will do whatever the hell you want if you figure it out. First pic shows the options when you are in your stream. Click on content types...topics and the second pic will pop up after you hit the little gear. Then click each of the forums you want in your stream and they will go dark as in the pic. The ones you don't pic won't be shown in your stream. After that is done click off the settings and you will see the third pic where you can save as a new stream or save as your current stream or discard. Even though I am a genius it took me a couple of tries to get it right. So hang in there.

Look under the whats new section, and work with the 'Activity Streams'. They will do exactly that, you can make your own and save them.

I can't answer your question directly but I can tell you this. Bondo is mostly talc and resin, so adding talc seems to be ok to me. And there are many bondo's that have aluminum added, so adding that seems ok to me also I would go for it, worst case you sand it down and apply a layer over the top.
