Saturday's (mis) Adventures in north central Ohio

Mounting, earbud..bluetooth. Yea it takes some experimenting to figure out what is best for you. Took me awhile. I ended up on my handlebars with a Ram Mount but I have a big fairing so it has to rain really hard before I have to do something. So power from the fairing was easy, then I ran a aux cable under the tank that comes up right under my seat. Run the earbuds under my jacket and plug in. Also ran a second cable so I can just aux it into the bike's stereo. Can't really hear what she is saying that way but I can hear her...know that something is coming up and glance at the phone. I got really tired of bluetoothing it, seemed like I was always dicking around paring up or charging. But that was awhile ago, the newer sena's seem to work much better than what I had. -
It's hard to let go of the past @Casper There were some really cool things back then. For example you hadn't been born yet.

And I was driving a 66 convertable vette while you were still swimming around in your dads balls.

One you need a power cord for it. It will kill your battery. I nav with my phone all the time, on long days. Two you need a nav program that does not need a signal...for data. I use Sygic. Its like 25 bucks for all of north america. Takes up about 5 gigs if you download it all but I just download the states I need. Then you need to mount it so you can see it, or earbud it. -
I dont need a pt cruiser to generate hate for you.

This is a question for her doctor. But I know a few people that have had one, or both replaced. They are as good as new. Some of them ski which is hard on knees.

FYI, to embed videos here from YouTube just post the url it automagically embeds them. But you need the long url, not the mobile url's.

Nothing with a motorcycle trailer behind it.

An Element? So you dont even have a man card to burn. It self destructed years ago.
-
Not really. The site software comes preset to a pretty low limit. @Casper raised it and it was all good. Then there was a software update that undid his fix. He is aware and will get to it soon But yea for now offsite hosting will work.

Pics of you burning your man card?

Cool, now that you under stand the facts do you still think Apple is correct in the way they are handling it?
-
Thats also a state job, sorta. So you will get state bennies. You too can have a boatload of vacation days like I do. They are basically an ISP for schools.

Windows 7 is not EOL, it is supported until 2020 for security and critical updates. You can still buy computers with it on until October and you can still install Quicktime on them. And it installs just fine on 8 and 10 if you go to apples website and click install. Which is where you will be directed if you visit a page that has quicktime content on it. No, Apple is not recommending you uninstall it. Again, Apple isn't saying jack. Trend and DHS are saying that. The support page that Apple put up in March says 'If you don't need Quicktime anymore this is how you uninstall it'. No mention that it was depreciated, or EOL. No mention of the security vuln. EOL means you announce it is end of life, that it is no longer supported and you remove it from your damn website. You don't leave it up there AT ALL for any regular user to install, let alone with no warning. That is extremely irresponsible, I am very baffled that you don't see it that way. Very baffled. They are publishing and distributing unsupported code with reasonably bad vulns. How is that not irresponsible? That is why my panties are in a twist.
-
If no one is using it then why not EOL it?
-
Then they should announce that and remove the download. They haven't even acknowledge the vuln or that they are not patching anymore. And they released that January update knowing about this vuln. Zero fucks are being given here by Apple. And the quote that this isn't an easy drive by is total bullshit. Dick was actually an understatement, irresponsible fuckheads would be more accurate.

2006 Yammie 600 RS. This is a co-workers daughters bike. They are all bikers so it has been taken care of, never down. 30K apx on the clock. Yoshi exhaust, front looks real new and back looks pretty new also. Bike is clean, no whammos. I have not seen the bike, but if you are reasonably interested I will go look at it for you and report back. She wants $3,600 but is a reasonable person so she will entertain reasonable offers. She has a clean title in hand.

If you have Quicktime on a Windows machine remove it. There have been some big vuln's around since at least November. Apple is refusing to fix them and is refusing to discontinue the software. They are being real dickheads about the whole thing. You don't need it anyway.

Just a heads up to everyone, the sun visor on these has an anti fog coating on it. So you have to clean them like you do a pinlock...soap and water then let it dry. Not a big deal, as long as you know. They come out really easy, rinse it off and you are all set. Yes, I learned the hard way.
