Just took the bikes to the dyno today. I was pretty happy with the results of my bike, but something was just not right with jbot's bike. It was down a little on hp from where it should be at. We haven't got a chance to try and dig into it to see what the problem might be though. A video of one of my runs, glowing red headers always look cool! I suck at embedding, so click the link.... Dyno numbers vary from machine to machine, but the important part was the baseline compared to the final run. Started at 104 hp and finished at 118.3 with a WAY smoother graph. The torque curve was all messed up because his tach pickup wasn't working so he didn't print it out, but torque was at 52 ft/lbs. final vs. 48 start.

When you added coolant, did you add it to the overflow tank that you pictured? Or directly into the radiator? If you filled up the overflow tank then chances are you overfilled it and once the bike was hot, the coolant expanded and came out the overflow hoses. Not a big deal, siphon some out and get it back somewhere between the min-max lines.

I didn't have a welder back then, lol. Seriously if you want that done to yours I'll tell you what parts to order and where to get them. Bring it over some day and I can weld it up. It would probably take 5-6 hours. And the bike would be happy to come back and visit my garage and the other bikes. They miss each other.
