  1. 1 I found somewhat helpful but I think it would be geared better to someone just learning to ride aggressively. 2 was a lot more informative and taught me a lot.
  2. Just kidding...figured since you listed it on craigslist I would give you a typical craigslist response. Guess I needed to go harder on the sarcasm.
  3. Hello and welcome! Who do you do your club racing with?
  4. Is it a time machine? Do women want to take their suits off when they get in it? Will you trade for my 1987 chevy S10 it has a v8 coversion with over $4000 in mods. Doesn't run needs some work. If not will you take $400 that is all the cash I have right now.
  5. I guess if it helps get the butterflies out for the first few rounds do what makes you comfortable. But how am I going to stuff you into turn 1 if you're racing the 750? Therefor you should race the 600 sprints!
  6. The good thing about the 600 sprints is the grid sizes. You're much more likely to find someone running the same pace as you that you can follow/chase/pass and have fun racing with vs. the 750 GT where there's 6-10 riders. Whether you win or finish last, the fun part about racing is having someone you can compete with and someone to chase down, etc. And trust me, Wayne did his fair share of making me feel foolish when I first started racing and running just the mini 20. I think that was my first milestone in racing when I finally passed Wayne.
  7. The 40 or the 20 are both good places to start. It's the most "bang for the buck" as far as money spent and laps you get to put in. Also they're not quite as competitive as the sprint races are, however that has been changing the last couple years with more and more signing up for both of them. 750GT is a good race to get your feet wet in the sprints, however a lot of people have this same idea and that class was filling up too. I say if you are going to run sprints, just run the 600's where you belong.
  8. This is unacceptable. I'm pretty sure if worse came to worse and you did crash, "I was in an automobile accident and was in the hospital" is a perfectly good reason for not making it to a final. They don't need to know you were racing motorcycles and not driving to the library to study.
  9. You sir, have some highly unrealistic expectations. If those two still have virgin tight ones then Whitney Houston didn't do drugs. Something like "hot dog down a hallway" seems more fitting.
  10. When you go to these dirt track races, do you get to drive the race car? No? Then come to Nelson!
  11. You're missing opening weekend for a wedding...in Canada? You're gheyer than I thought. Possibly the gheyest.
  12. Bump, now $5500 with the brand new Hot Bodies. The old fairings went back on my other bike.
  13. You have ridden at Nelson Ledges, haven't you? And I call that place home track so...
  14. Probably on purpose...sponsors and stuff ya know? They probably aren't going to come out and say "Our XXXX part from YYYY manufacturer broke in the beginning of the race."
  15. Ya I think Elka is known a lot more in the ATV/offroad world than they are in roadracing.
  16. Sadly, those colors are back in style for today's youth...have you seen some of the crap they wear? How bout this beauty right here: http://www.bikebandit.com/answer-comet-shred-full-face-motorcycle-helmet
  17. $230, with wheels? Now that's a good price. I take it that means they aren't selling them anymore?
  18. I knew I could count on you for at least one off topic post! And no...they are called cockpit infills! So that is what I will refer to them as.
  19. Ya, probably not needed on a street bike. I tracked/raced my crappy rear shock for a few years before I finally decided I should upgrade.
  20. Just looked up the one for a 675, $800 or $1000 with hydraulic preload adjust. Pretty reasonable as far as aftermarket rear shocks go. I know an Ohlins with no hydraulic preload runs about $1300.
  21. Since there's a recent influx of 675's showing up on the forums I figured I would post these up here, and give a special OR price. (I knocked $20 off of what I'm asking on the triumph forums.) They are take-offs from my 2012 675R that is becoming a track only bike. In excellent, like-new condition. Cockpit infills - $80 Exhaust shield - $100 (plus shipping, if needed) For fastest response send me a PM.
