  1. This is happening, as soon as someone walks away from their computer...
  2. If the bike is sorted enough to do a trackday it better be good enough for race school. So come on and just do it! You don't have to race if you do it, but its another learning experience.
  3. Wish it were the law. I sat in a traffic jam on a freeway in South Carolina for over an hour. My exit was like 3 miles away, would've been great to zip on through and get where I was going.
  4. I'm with you. You should come out Saturday night for the food and festivities.
  5. Damn straight son. I'm the OFFICIAL OFFICIAL Moto Series thread starter. I think a pot luck style dinner would be great. You should make your famous peach cobbler I've been hearing about.
  6. Sorry, don't want you to feel left out. I added a special little line just for you in the first post. So go study, pass finals, come race. BTW, you could always come pit bitch on Sunday?
  7. It's 2013, and the world didn't end so we can thank the Lord/Allah/Science/Buddah/10lb,9oz Sweet Baby Jesus (or whatever/whoever it is that you worship) that the start to a new racing season is less than a month away! This is the OFFICIAL roll call/smack talk, who's going, who's bitching out thread. So, who's going? Are you racing? Trackday only? Race school and maybe racing? Who are you gonna stuff into turn 12? Who's Madcat gonna stuff in his trailer? Who's RVT gonna take as his bitch to the wedding in Canada? Will Hollywood33 pass his finals? Let the smack talking begin! I can't wait any longer! Friday evening open practice (Int-Adv riders only): TRMN8TR - maybe, if work lets me go. Photos by Marty Madscat RVTPilot - might grow a pair and ride RHill Saturday trackday and race school: TRMN8TR Photos by Marty - making your slow ass look fast. nk140 Madcat Candybluzx6 - Race school jbot ludwb675 - Novice Instructional group (maybe) wantahertzdonut - Fucking doing the race school Blue036363929371 - will be in attendance but who knows what he's up to? Blue036362937391 - mini 40 RHill - just do it Murse - mini 20, 1000 (cheater) sprint bchristy07 - 600 sprints
  8. On a side note, I think there's one of these for sale at Ohio Motorcycle off 271. (Southeast of Cleveland) I don't think a Busa or any sportbike is going to be very comfortable for your passenger, but that's a plus. You don't really like having the bitch back there do you?
  9. I don't know about any of you, but I can not recall a time where I saw Kobe drinking a Pepsi, or Shaq driving a Buick, or a commercial for ANYTHING that made me say "Boy, I'm gonna go buy that now because it's endorsed by Joe so-and-so." I have seen food commercials that made me hungry, but usually not for whatever it was in the commercial. I just walk over to my refridgerator or cupboards and grab a bite to eat.
  10. I was simply referring to the 3 "high wage earners" in the video. The doctor, kobe, and whoever the CEO was. I'm sure you are hard at work earning those 6 figures every day and not wasting time browsing ORDN.
  11. The docs are the only ones I feel at least earned their hefty salaries. Like you said, they put the time for the schooling/residency, etc. I have no idea why we value entertainment in this country so much that singers/actors/pro athletes are the highest paid people. In the old days we would've just thrown them in the ring as slaves and they fought for their lives, not for a wage. Not saying that is the right thing to do, but how did the tables get so turned that we value a song/movie/sporting event more than educating our children who are the future of this country?
  12. Cool glad to hear you'll be out. Get there early Saturday and stop over with your bike. I can help you make a couple quick suspension changes on your bike that will make it a lot more stable mid-corner. I got used to the "twitchiness" of my 07 and kind of learned to ride around it, but when I finally made the changes it was a huge help. Also if you find yourself needing any tools specific to the 675, I should have pretty much anything you'd need there with me. Don't worry about all of that stuff for your first time. Just focus on bringing you, the bike, your gear, and plenty of fluids. Oh, and don't forget the keys!
  13. Only if skittles is my sponsor. So...no. Jinu is painting his to look like a panda. Face and all.
  14. 28 days....damn I still got a lot to do and not enough time! I better get on it.
  15. Probably not, only cause I'd have to drive to Columbus to drop them off, and then back to pick them up. I have a local guy who did a nice job on another set I had painted. Considering using him or possibly trying to paint them myself. I think jbot has access to a paint booth.
  16. And last because I am super anal/OCD, I started modifying the wiring harness to get rid of all the extra crap I don't need anymore. So far I got rid of all the connectors and wiring to the EPA crap, exhaust exup valve, O2 sensor, and kickstand switch. I plan to remove the wires, connectors, and relays for headlights, turn signals, tail lights, horn, etc. and anything else that gets in my way. Putting the upper fairing on is a bit of a pain, all the fuses/relays get in the way. So any relays still needed and the fuse box itself are getting relocated to under the tank. I don't need this crap: Spaghetti:
  17. So after it was all stripped down, started putting things back together. My favorite part of the whole build, this bit of titanium that's like a piece of art. I've never actually worked with titanium before, and man is this crap light! And a lot of other parts sourced mostly from Riders Discount. Attack Performance rearsets. Love these things, one of the only rearsets on the market that you can switch to GP shift, keep the shift shaft going through the frame, and works with the factory quickshifter. Plus they look sweet too. New 520 chain and a few different sprockets so I can mess with gearing changes, and GB racing chain guard: GB racing engine covers all around: Apex GP clip ons, took a bit of work to get them to fit right: And bodywork has been drilled and mounted. Off to paint next.
  18. Been awhile since we updated anything so I'll post a few progress pics and mostly be an attention whore and post all the new goodies I got for the bike. Mostly stripped down: The old parts pile is growing: And the pile of stupid EPA and other unwanted bullcrap is rather large too, and this is just from 1 bike:
  19. Yup, just to repeat what he already said, it is a good idea to do it. Not only in case you crash, but for other reasons like...your bike overheats and coolant is pouring out the overflow. Or like what happened to me, a rock or something kicks up and puts a hole in your radiator, and coolant is pouring out on the track for several laps until you realize it.
  20. Gear so far looks good. I'm guessing your reasoning for the 2 piece suit is so you can use the jacket for street riding as well. Not a bad idea but I would really suggest getting a 1 piece if you plan on doing more than a couple trackdays. And trust me, once you do one, you're gonna wanna do more.
  21. Ya he looked, but they don't come with shelving units so he opted to build his own. Lol. This just made my morning, and several coworkers as well. They all had to come see what I was laughing at.
  22. Looks pretty sweet, I like it. Loved the Jardine slip on I had on my old 675.
