  1. Gotcha, I'll lend my hand... I miss doing event marketing
  2. DTM if you'd like to an event NEO again shoot me a pm. I can do some legwork... just need some info.
  3. At least we're not Detroit! We're not Detroit!
  4. Turn left on Highland road. You'll know it's the right intersection when you see a Bob Evan's on your left, a BP on your right, and 271 in front of you. If you get to McDonald's and go under 271 you've gone one street too far. Get Go
  5. Very nice gun! You should drive up to Canton and do the CCW course with us!
  6. Sound advice, while I am sure they carry ammo for the guns they rent, having enough is a good lesson. There is a Gander Mountain in North Canton, so we could always stop there, they usually have everything. Also wanted to post something I found with the transporting question. Locked gun case in a back-pack is likely fine.... but like I said, I'll check with a local sheriff's office once we get more details hammered out
  7. Taken from the AG's site http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/le/prevention/pubs/2009_ccw_book.pdf
  8. Lucky for you I'm not wearing any underwear
  9. Once we get a confirmed number and have a date setup we'll ask if he can hook up a deal for gun rental as well. Typically these classes require your own weapon and ammo, but most ranges rent guns, and some private clubs require you use their ammo. Seeing as Dan (the guy at Trigger Time) runs a public range and he does not have a rule posted about ammo I suspect those of us who are thrifty can bring our own. Depending on what he has setup for rules (some classes I saw say no 22s or 380s) I may bring my 22 or my 40SW. I have about 100,000 rounds for my 22 so if that's the case I'm happy to share. If I have to bring my 40 that's going to be more costly but Wal-Mart is awesome for ammo. http://www.triggertimellc.com/content/gun-rentals XD is a super nice gun
  10. :-) It's all sunny days and farts anyway.
  11. LOL Sucka! really can't make it to Northfield? That sucks, Cleave whatchu thinkin? Too sad with just us 2?
  12. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=29812 The more the merrier
  13. Oh! So like a Speedohealer but not incredibly expensive...?
  14. That sucks, glad you're ok though. Rubber down next time
  15. Curby's buddy just emailed me back. If we bring 5 it'll be $80 ... not a bad deal. Waiting for Walther's reply and maybe a couple more just to be sure. Additionally, I had forgot to mention to him we were looking for a single day class. So I'm confirming that now. Edit: Confirmed, he can do a 1 day class.
  16. I was still planning on it. Anyone else going to come out?
  17. Very cool! Added you to the list. One thing I'm finding is almost all these places RENT guns too, and I have yet to find a range that doesn't sell ammo. So good news there.
  18. I'll find out as soon as we get closer by calling the sheriff's office. Worst case scenario is you'd have to drive. Best case you throw them both in a backpack and trigger lock the pistol. But we can talk, if it's the difference I can bring you ammo and you can pay me back. But like I said, we'll figure it out.
  19. If it was only one day would you drive/ride up for it?
  20. pegs down for your friend. As others said, don't beat yourself up, he made the choice.
  21. Hey Curby, looks like we have 4 expressing interest ... given how quickly people are responding I was going to say I was going to start calling out next week to get group discounts.... If your friend will do it I'm SURE I can find a few more people... let me know what you think. As JRM mentioned a 1 day class would be ideal (long but ideal) Edit: Canton is pretty much NEO, plus it's pretty easy to get to and those of us a bit north could ride down together, and Sigy could meet us there Depending on what your friend says, I'll give a call over to the Sheriff's department to find out how to transport a pistol on a motorcycle, if they say there isn't a way, one of us can take a cage, or we all drive together, but that's once we figure out dates and who will commit.
  22. I was thinking that too, If we get a large enough group I'd do the same thing.
  23. Welp, that'll teach me to not assume people aren't interested. Confirming rates now, so far we have a group rate with a forum friend in Canton. We need 5 guaranteed people, so far we have 6, so any more we get will help us fill out the class and make sure we cover the no shows.
